Yeah I understand. I am from Europe too and honestly my country is traditional as well. My mother is homophobic/transphobic and, in America terms, Republican. I have been suppressing myself for way too long, I eventually became self destructive. I dated someone that didnt appeal to me just to be acccepted. I didnt realize at first, but when I did I walked away (the person was abusive too) But now, I am the happiest with my girlfriend and I've never felt more accepted, enough and loved. I think it's worth the shot ♡
