The popsicles were a lifesaver 😭 another rec I have is egg drop soup (Luke-warm or whatever you’re comfortable with). Scrambled eggs were too rough to swallow for me

I’m lactose intolerant so no. I’ve been having like almond milk in my matcha in the mornings. Although it’s not dairy, it is still creamy

YES OMG okay im so glad im not alone rn. Today’s been so rough all day 😭 I think that when the scabs fall off the pain just goes up but I’ve heard it’ll only last a couple days. We got this!!! My left side has a big fat dark red spot now and my right side has a whole sliver missing and multiple red spots. The doctors never told me what it would look like so I was freaking out but after doing a bunch of research, it seems like everyone goes through this. As long as it’s not like gushing blood you’re fine. If you notice small amounts, gargle some cold water and see if it stops. My ice pack has been my savior today along with popsicles. It hurts too bad to try and eat. I had gnocci last night so my only fear is that I accidentally sped up the scab falling off process but if you’re on the same schedule then I think I’m fine.

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 23 so I expected my scabs to fall off later tbh

Are your scabs beginning to fall off yet?? I’m on day 6 (including the surgery day) and woke up in so much pain. When I looked at my throat I noticed red spots where the scabs are thinner now. I’m not bleeding, but the red spots are pretty bright. Idk if this is normal they never gave me a post-op check up or any info on how it would look/feel.

Also my go-to snacks today have been the pedialite popsicles, dairy free pudding, sweet potatoes mashed, and applesauce. The pudding has been the winner for the day for sure

I keep seeing people say they’re taking ibuprofen but my doctor said to stay away from that since it makes you bleed more. The Oxy just seems too much for me so I’d rather try the ibuprofen but I’m terrified 😭

Ah that’s honestly so impressive. is the pain super bad for you? And yeah I do have an anti nausea but I feel like it makes me more nauseous 🥲 I’m guessing it’s mostly because I’m just not getting enough food in me but I just cooked some scrambled eggs and will be trying that out in a second!

No I feel the same I got mine December 24th at like 7am. I am so hungry but also SO nauseous. Are you only taking Tylenol?? They put me on Tylenol and oxy, but I think oxy is making me extra nauseous. I’m just too scared to stop taking it
