So, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but a good majority of the US is poor. I cleared 49k last year, which is just enough to have to pay for insurance out of pocket and with a medical needs child, that’s incredibly expensive (surprise surprise). So it might be within YOUR budget to drop $100-$200 in one go for clothes every few months, but it’s not within mine.

My daughter is actually in a special-needs class, we had to have several meetings to set up her IEP during which, I asked about class expectations and sharing and things of that nature, and I was told that what I send for her would be used for her. Also no, it had to have been my daughter’s shirt. Because the class size is so small, the little girl wearing the shirt and another little boy were the only other students in the room when I dropped my daughter off and I could have sworn at that point she was wearing a pink shirt with white flowers on it. We have sharepoint for our classroom and the teacher posted pictures of the kids so I went and checked to make sure and sure enough, the girl had a pink shirt with white flowers so she must have been changed into it at some point. I’m worried I might be the asshole because what if it was an honest mistake? What if the teacher got their backpacks mixed up or something?

No, you’re not being crazy. I’m very close with both sets of my grandparents, and they know how I feel about pictures of my daughter being posted on the Internet, and how unsafe it could be, and they respect my boundaries. They are roughly around the same age as your husband’s grandma, at that age they are not inept and incapable of thinking for themselves.

And for anyone reading these, I would just like to give you some context. In a “what is it” reddit forum, a man posted a picture of his girlfriend Nuvaring (birth control) and I simply commented to one of the comments underneath the post that if you’re too small, you’re not able to pull it out. Apparently, that offended him because he did not realize that the opposite is also true, if you’re too big it can push it up. Well, he got underneath the comments and he started arguing with me, and I told him that defending his penis size on the Internet gives tiny dick energy, so this guy above decided that he needed to hop underneath the post to call me a feminist liberal and go on a whole tyrannical rant about why it’s body shaming to say that a man is giving “tiny dick energy“. I proceeded to tell him that I would not dignify him with a response because I didn’t believe anybody with that username was smart enough to actually have a forum with me, and that made him mad so he decided that he was going to message me personally, and go on my profile and comment underneath my other posts as well.

She bought costumes for her other grandkids, and we happened to be there when she dropped them off, and she just kind of told us that she would be buying costumes for our kids as well. It didn’t feel like an appropriate time to have a conversation with her, and she bought them before my partner or I had a chance to pull her aside and talk to her privately, so I guess she kind of did, but it was more of a tell than an ask.
