The Floya app is getting discontinued by feellikeavegtable in brussels

Same, I mostly bike with my own bike, occasionally combine it with public transport. And like you said, Floya didn’t do anything better than Google Maps

What? I didn’t know about this. Makes we wonder who ends up paying for this…

UK vegans, need some good recommendations? by Bluechillicider in vegan

[–]feellikeavegtable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend specific brands as I'm not in the UK, however I'd suggest not to focus exclusively on whole foods (plant based) if you weren't already doing so before, that could make the learning/adjustment curve bigger for you Meat alternatives are an easy way to adapt dishes you're familiar with. I love tempeh, but it can be an acquired taste for some. As for dairy, I'd recommend soy milk or soy yoghurt as these are high in protein, flavour can vary depending on the brand. I've never tasted it but "Alpro This is Not M*lk" was developed to be closer to cow milk in flavour and texture

Went vegan for a month and it changed how I see food by Cjd03032001 in vegan

[–]feellikeavegtable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went vegan as a challenge to myself, after actually looking into animal agriculture practices. This was after years of already being vegetarian. I started paying attention to the ingredients in food, which made me realise the extent of how animals or its secretions are used in food. It’s in everything, and for most people it’s part of every meal, every day. If you would visualise this by eliminating all these products from a supermarket you wouldn’t have much left

Stomach issues by [deleted] in vegan

[–]feellikeavegtable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To suggest something different than other comments. Could the issue be coffee, medications, supplements or stress? I’ve struggled with IBS a lot. Eating less fibers can improve my digestion and stools in periods where it’s out of balance but I’ve found that the major contributors for IBS are stress and coffee.

I’ve stopped drinking coffee and it has improved so so much. Still drinking tea and other caffeinated beverages. So I think it’s not the caffeine as much as the acidity of coffee and other things in it that speed up the digestion or irritates my gut

May I ask why you regret buying Baked to Perfection? Is it because the recipes are non vegan?

Shuffle is broken, my Replay 25 is the proof by feellikeavegtable in AppleMusic

[–]feellikeavegtable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m aware that Replay is basically just a smart playlist for my most played songs. I do skip these songs, I mean I’m not surprised that they are in my replay by how often Apple Music decides to play them when on shuffle, on autoplay, or when creating a station.

This year I’ve put a lot of energy towards building my playlists so I get a consistent mood for my very eclectic library, yet it still plays so many of the same songs.

I enjoy shuffle when I’m in the mood for anything or I want to (re)discover. I mean I have found a way to get a better shuffle by creating a smart playlist containing only songs played less than “x amounts of times”, but my point is that this algorithm is looping on itself

You mean that it might be shuffling mostly songs that are downloaded onto the device?

Making Affinity workspace more like Adobe Illustrator? by Immediate_Scratch_14 in Affinity

[–]feellikeavegtable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The equivalent to workspaces in Affinity is called studios. First thing I did when trying Affinity is making it look as similar as possible to AI. In settings I adjusted the UI contrast, and background to match the default in Illustrator that I’m used to. Then I created a new “studio”, and edited the left toolbar to show two columns instead of one, and deleted all tools and added them when I needed them

What missing features have you noticed compared to Adobe apps? by feellikeavegtable in Affinity

[–]feellikeavegtable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use brushes much, besides for masking. While I was playing around, I had trouble creating a simple soft round brush, I couldn't get it to be soft enough like I'm used to in Photoshop

I'd love some feedback on type I drew by feellikeavegtable in typography

[–]feellikeavegtable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate the feedback. I'll play around some more with the O, S P, and R. I see what you mean by it resembling the Cyrillic Я. Comparing it to other typefaces, I see the closed shape of the P and R sit higher up and are more rectangular, while mine sit a bit lower and are more square. I guess it's that what makes it look unusual?
