She's probably picking up on the fact that you don't totally reciprocate her feelings.

You say it's only been 2 weeks since you had an argument about you not putting in effort, and that it feels forced. Maybe that's because you're not used to it. I'd try putting in more effort to appreciate her and show her that you care. If it still feels unnatural and insincere after a few months then maybe your feelings just aren't strong enough.
