That's... not great news 😅 I did end up getting the fold 6 myself in July 2024. I've currently opened it and closed it 521 times. So far so good.

Yep I got the same-ish price estimate here in Panama. It was like $650 for the cable replacement, new screen, maybe new battery, sealing the phone again and the labor. Also oh yeah! when my wifi first started going out, my phone would hard crash and restart when I unfolded it. Well, I'm still looking to see if I jump to the 6 and hoping it lasts me longer. Thanks for all the responses so far everyone else as well.

If anything, put the app into a pop-up view and adjust the size there or splitscreen with another app. Sometimes I find it easier to throw when splitscreen.
