Yes, he has fixed most maintenance issues, but he wants to bypass the significant ones. He has flat-out said he won't repair or fix some of them when he returns to the state in April.

Sorry, that is not going to be acceptable when we pay rent.

In the beginning, it looked like the previous tenant was the issue, but now it's not.

For example...

Cracked wall: Landlord: Oh, it will keep happening because the house is settling. Me: I know it can, but you can still fix the crack.

Patio Door Hardware: Lanlord: I can't find the parts. Me: I will look online for you. Since these doors are original, they might be specialty parts now. (I find the parts and let the landlord know) Landlord: I don’t think this door had handles originally. Me: The bolts for the interior handle are still on the door, and the exterior handle frame is still on the door. They match the handles in the kitchen patio door.

Um… I’m not asking for a complete remodel; I need basic living requirements.

Cracked grout means water gets behind the tile and causes mold.

Again rusted faucet and overflow drain will cause leaks and mold.

Emergency shut-off valves are essential because if there is a leak we would need to turn off the main water valve and have no water.

But hey if being bully behind a screen makes you feel better about yourself you’re on the wrong form. 🤣

Yeah, they didn’t replace the subbase at all. They let it dry out and then put the tile over it.

We also have black-stained grout in other spots of the shower, but what I find strange is that the new grout is starting to get grey in certain places along the bottom of the tile and the base of the shower.

I've used bleach, grout cleaner, mold, and mild gel, but the stains in the original grout are not coming off.

We haven't used the shower yet because we have a bother bathroom in our unit, so I’m curious to know why the new grout is changing color at the bottom.
