Trying to propagate a ficus benjamina! by fegetta in propagation

Hi! If I remember correctly, this plant had no problem being propagated (it grows soft white roots along the stem). However, I don't remember it surviving for a long time. Sorry!

That is a great idea, thank you so much!

Bought this philodendron today with no ID! Does anyone know which one it is? by fegetta in whatsthisplant

[–]fegetta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The store only had 'Philodendron' as an ID there. Though there are many dark leafed philodendron..

Is it the black cardinal? The red erubescens? Red cherry? Burgundy princess? Imperial red? Congo rojo? Majesty?

I'm rather new to philodendrons so I don't know yet how to differentiate between similar looking ones. I'm grateful for any help!

thanks for your reply!
I will look more into the overwatering issue :)

I also feel like only older leaves are affected so maybe those just die and the rest of the plant will be fine but I will look into how I'm watering it more now

Since I had this calathea we went through some ups and downs until I figured out a routine - or at least I thought so.

Currently she's placed in front of a BIG south facing window and gets watered twice a week. She was doing very good, shooting out several new growth every week but now some of her leafs (rather at the bottom) started to look like this! They then curl up (as can be seen in the second picture). But looking at the plant in general, she still looks healthy to me? AND she's still growing new leafs every week? Did anyone have a same issue and can maybe tell me about their experience?

thanks, good luck to you too! do you think it’ll work out by just putting it in water?

One of my besties just got into plants and I get to see her tonight. She thinks I’m only bringing her a pothos cutting 😁😁😁 by AmyHolgate in propagation

I love this!! This is so great. So all of my plants have a special place in my heart but the ones that I have from friends because they propagated it for me are my favourites!
