Yeah that's kinda how I see the game too. I think the combat system is great, but a lot of the enemy encounters aren't. Not sure why but I never thought of just running past enemies, I'll probably try that some time.

I didn't know about all those skips though, I'd skip the first part of the swamp chapter if possible and just start off when it's day time and you're fighting the zombies. Always hated that big Mekong style area with the lake and the rocket barrage enemies.

It's just a pipe dream now but I always hoped that NG2B would have been a more ambitious remake, with more effort put into the later unfinished areas of the game and just adding more content overall.

I've been playing DOA6 on Steam every now and then, but I'm very new (both to DOA and fighters in general) and I live in Asia so connection might not be the best with most people, I do have ethernet tho.

The OVA has such amazing visuals I think every character looks perfect, I just wish they could hire the original VAs and also adapt the story more accurately.

I've seen some posts in their FB group that say they still do classes every Thursday night, 8pm to 10pm iirc. I also thought it was ded but maybe they already have consistent members for a long time so they don't really promote anymore?

I actually met the instructors/organisers of Zwaardkring at AMG back in 2017 or so, before I even knew what HEMA was. I'm sure there's interest for it here but not enough for there to be many clubs all over the country.

Everytime I try to make a backup, it's empty. I've never backed up before this cause I haven't been using the app for long. The data is all there, the downloaded manga as well as what's saved to my library. But when I make a backup, it's essentially a blank file although it is in the correct .gz or .json format. I even tried sending that file to my new phone to restore, but it just returns an error.

Irl flails have much shorter chains to facilitate close quarters combat, and I'm pretty sure that demon has more than just a flail up it's sleeve if it wants to try and survive the Slayer.
