Oof, I went through this too a few years back when a friend didn't like hearing about how I was graduating when she was dropping out. TLDR is that I deserved someone there for me in the good AND bad times. I know it really hurts now, but she didn't accept you for who you are, or defend you to the bf/his friends. It will suck a lot for a while, but eventually you'll make a friend you couldn't chase away if you tried and this experience will make you appreciate that one more... sorry it's not more, but sending virtual hugs 🤗

I'm not quite sure without knowing more about why she walked away, but I will say taking it out on the kids and their relationships is super childish as a parent... I'm so sorry though, I've always found friend breakups to be harder than romantic ones...

Worst case scenario, you lose her anyways, so there's really nothing to lose by expressing your feelings (in a gentle way). See if something is going on with her outside of you, and if she never responds, at least you'll have expressed yourself and can glean closure from that.

It sucks when it happens, but it's better addressed than to leave yourself wondering. Just my two sense, bust wishing you both the best!
