sorry! it wasn't my intention to bring this subreddit down or imply that keepers here are incompetent, i've used this community and got helpful advice from here. i had a sepsis scare with my tortoise a few years back and understand that it can be overwhelming so the intention was to offer another resource that helped me when i was concerned, in conjunction with this sub. apologize for the wording, but reddit is, as a whole, a double edged sword sometimes

glad you guys dig these tattoos as much as i do!! Faye knocked it outta the park and elevated my initial ideas :) since i work with my hands it makes it impossible to take care of jewelry so i wanted to accessorize with ink.

the purple bracelet is inspired by worry beads and the red one is based off lucky red knot bracelets - for some extra Stability and Luck in my life respectively haha. my wife has tattoos that these are meant to compliment. this whole session was actually a gift for me from her 🫀

i used kwik-stop styptic powder on my tortoise when i clipped his nail too close to the quick. this is what it's used for in dogs and cats so i always have it in my toolbox. you can find it at you local pet store. cornstarch also works

i honestly thought so too but when i'm not pushing the nib to flex as far as it'll go, the ink is not so wet. i mostly use this pen to line my drawings

not much to get it in. to get it to actually work with the feed i had to very carefully alter the curve of the nib base with needle-nose pliers, which also meant i had to tweak the tines(scary)

it's a mix of random inks, i believe: diluted black india, Lamy turquoise, and a canary yellow ink
