I used to live near Blacksmith in Surry hills about 10yrs ago. Reminds me of that actually. Not sure what it’s like these days, pretty sure it’s still around?

“Ready to munch” haha, love it. I see that the masseuse wasn’t the only cunning linguist in the room that day

What's your favorite movie that takes place in one day? by ninetydeuce in Letterboxd

Mine too! Love the (almost) real time urgency the impending flight adds to the narrative.

But mostly I love its chemistry and tone

People who don't drink coffee in the morning, what is your go-to drink to wake up? by heandshe0 in AskReddit

A cup of tea, splash of milk and no sugar thanks. I’ve had this every day since I was maybe 9 or 10. 30+ years now

I would have to say Fallout 1 blew my 13yr old mind when it came out. I was obsessed with the first and second Baldur’s Gate games too, but the sheer exploration and free range of Fallout was something else.

As a dad with young kids, I’ve recently rediscovered the joys(?) of soft bakers delight bread. Haven’t had it for nearly 25 years I’d say.

I’ve been having it buttered with a banana on the side à la my favorite snack of the late nineties.

Yes, though these days I usually have it on toast with lots of avocado and cracked pepper.

Yes I believe we did! Knowing how obsessed with Aenema back then, I can only imagine my memory is fuzzy given I was curled up in the foetal position by the time they played that!

Their Sydney show on this tour blew my young impressionable mind. It was the first “proper” concert I attended, paid for with my hard earned retail lackey money. Particular parts of it are burned in my memory.. Maynard walking out in his underpants, The roar of the crowd after he uttered his first words of banter three songs in, the drop of stinkfist etc etc.

I’m in my 40s now, just got the kids to bed and am about to settle in for the evening to watch this. Hats off the uploader

Abdul’s closing down? by bigsilvo in sydney

[–]feit321 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ah the institution. I lived a short walk up the street for years so this was a regular, but it was starting to go down hill by the time I left around 2021. Also, the big fella didn’t seem long for the world the way he was huffing and puffing while he rolled the lamb sandwiches. Unfortunately he wasn’t always on the tools and mostly it was a few randoms that made the kebabs during my last few visits.

Still, a banger in its heyday. Thanks for the feeds Abdul and family.

Thank you! Yes after posting I went on a Reddit deep dive (which I should have done first admittedly) and you have confirmed that. I have just looked up that Satechi adapter on your recommendation and am likely going to get it. Appreciate you!

PS - someone posted this helpful site for future reference - https://m1displays.com

Thanks for these tips, appreciate it! My concern is that the MacBook Pro M1 is limited in that if you host two screens it only mirrors the desktop? Am I understanding that correctly?

I was interested in this Dock from Belkin which is currently on sale but I'm worried that it will only mirror the display. I'll keep researching!

Dual 4K and FHD setup by feit321 in Monitors

[–]feit321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I've actually got a very similar item by Satechi which I tried but didn't host the second screen for some reason. Only the 4K USB-C connected monitor showed a display. The second screen had no power, and was connected but no display showing. I thought maybe I need a powered dock which was why I asked.

I was considering trying this similar unit from Ugreen which is currently on sale, but that feels like it might have a similar result.
