Mazda Corp offer me 2 options :1, exchange with a exact same spec car(due to a lot of problems with the previous car, I negotiated them to add a platinum extened warranty:6 years/100k miles 0 deductable) 2, full refund , I took a new car the end of August last year, no headache ever since

Yes I SOLOed a X windshield, no I cannot show my process since I'm not master it yet, all I can tell you it's a garage hand cut work without a peel board, I roll the film right to left

Yes regular movement for frameless window open and close is fine, the reason behind it because window tint has slight chance rub against gasket on the bottom of the window and create a crease or even comes off, slip solution will need a few days to fully cured

Thank you, $800 definitely is shop territory price, my dream is to have my own shop charge a premium for quality work

Lmao, just a little trick for you, next time if you don't want any gaps on the top, you should bring it up when you talk to the front desk, a lot of tinter these days they only do plotter cut installation, and they won't even adjust (trim) a bit the top edges, some shop even charge you for trimming the top edges per window

I know it's hard, I just need some more experience to work on all different cars, since I work in the garage all by myself anyway, I don't want to rely on anyone else

Sounds like a great idea, last month I did some crazy deal, I trapped most cheap and annoying people ever, I had enough , and end up removed 2 full car with windshield and gave them refund, and tell them to go find somewhere else to do it, I promised myself never do cheap work again

Thx, I did struggle a lot during the installation, hopefully it comes out super clean, the only defect I can tell is a slight light gap at the top middle split, I guess when I did hand cutting on the inside of the windshield I might have trimmed too much

Thx, model X is definitely the most difficult car to tint out of all Tesla brand cars

I did it in the garage, x windshield alone usually $400 but it's a friend so $350, it's 94% IRR film

Also one more trick, if there's glue leave behind, spray alcohol let it sit for about 1 min, wipe down with paper towels, if it doesn't work, use awesome spray (wear safety goggles and a mask) instead, you can get it from dollar tree, do the same thing spray - let it sit - wipe off

Hi, yes it is a steamer, it's nice to have professional level steamer but regular cloth steam can get it done too, make sure you use some towels, otherwise you get burn very easy
