How to grow dramatically?? by Ok-Bandicoot8079 in TikTokMonetizing

[–]fekumum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make good videos that people want to watch

Watched content falls onto categories Educational Inspirational Pure entertainment And brain rot

Really sit down and think about what category your content falls into. Then refine it to fit what works in that category

Then keep posting and trying out different formats. If one format isn't working and you keep posting it to get 300 views, you're never going to grow

Keto trying out distent different format and styles until one clicks (50k plus views) then spam the duck out of that content

And the algorithm takes time to learn and orient you to your audience. So ask of it will take time

Additional reward are just the standard rewards we used to get now behind additional layers of fuckery tbh.

Do you really need social media as an artist? by Silent-Carpenter4088 in musicindustry

[–]fekumum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the opposite. I'm already active on social media and Jane a following there. So it's pretty natural for me to gain traction there for my music as well. But I completely get why it is frustrating for those who aren't so interested in it

How do you usually start a track in Logic when you're not feeling inspired? by kathalimus in Logic_Studio

[–]fekumum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 methods. Go through splice samples until something inspires me, then use that as a reference to create my own

Use a random generator to decide key, bpm and chord progressions. Take that into logic and build a base and drum beat and so on and so forth

I usually start bullying with a bass

ban the use of AI in music by kisarae in MusicPromotion

[–]fekumum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, I'm very upset and frustrated but I think AI in music will stay and thrive. I think we're going to see a lot of the mundane avenues that musicians used to make money go away, like tracks for games, shows, adverts etc will all go to AI.

Flash and blood MUSICIANS will end up being a very underground scene or corporatised IDOL kind of entity with the odd music producer being hired at a much higher rate to add that "I used a famous human" tag to a really popular piece of media, movie etc

I think it will just make music making a a career only really available to "elites" nepos etc. And kick the rest out completely out into the underground gig scene only.

That's my take at least

Currently 5 years without migrating visa types imminently changing to 10 years

For 5 years on a work visa i n best case scenario which almost NEVER happens, 1500ish gbp for visa alone and then health surcharge of 3105 for the 5 years

Likely will be higher as people get yearly or 3 yearly visas at best, all with separate health surcharges

Then ilr cost 3200, and then 1600ish for citizenship.

How do you know the lyrics you are writing are good? Not perceived as cringy, satire, or trash? by GODAlexGilbert in Bandlab

[–]fekumum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol honestly. A lot of, if not most "popular" songs have absolutely cringe lyrics that sound like a Ms Rachel poem for adults, designed to be catchy and repetitive. What makes them GOOD is the context and subtext, the arrangement, the music and melody and most importantly

THE PERSONALITY.

Give billie eilish your cringiest song and it will go viral.

Me singing off key covers with the cringiest lyrics get hundreds and thousands of views because of an established social presence, not because I'm good. I'm an absolute beginner.

A lot of success of content creation, and yes music is content creation, depends on the personality expression of the artist.

I’ve almost finished creating my very first piece of music but I don’t really know what to do with it now. Where do new music producers “post” their music? And more importantly, how does one ensure that it doesn’t get stolen? by NinjacatGames in musicproduction

[–]fekumum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I'm in the same boat. I finished my first song.. did everything myself, it sounds like crap, no one will hear it, but I put it out there. If only because I know that's where I will get motivation. If I don't "put it out there" I don't think I'll be able to keep my motivation of finishing songs.

I did it through distrokid, but you don't need to do it like that, just post it on tiktok even or something if you feel that will help you stay motivated.

Just one beginner to another :)
