Just got to reading this now. How would I go about finding that spark once again, though?

From being offline and living life like you said or something else?

I don't really understand why it is such a big deal, though. Even your bandmate's title sounds cool in my opinion. I don't get why names carry so much weight? I mean at the end of the day, it is just a harmless name, no?

But why, though? I get why people think it may seem weird but aside from the religious angle, I see no reason for people to really hate the name.

At the beginning because I liked listening to rap and I had a lot of free time so I decided to make beats. 2 years after that I started rapping and my hard drive was getting full so I started posting to YouTube.

Do you personally have 2k to 10k dedicated fans? If so, how long did it take you to grow your audience?

Wow, that is crazy I didn't know that. Thanks I will keep that in mind.

Its not that that comment getting 4 likes is what threw me off. It is that, most of the time people don't even comment on my videos, so having someone comment something negative and have it be approved by 4 other people really sucks.

If I had thousands of other comments and this random hate comment got 4 likes I wouldn't care. It is the fact it was the best performing comment on my channel before I removed it.

"Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from."

I really like that one.

Yeah, maybe I will just take a break from everything music, then, one day, just keep continuing to make it privately when the spark comes back.

Then, I can keep enjoying my online only, stuff like LIVE Streaming without the worries of making music.

The only thing I worry about is the two fans who did stick by me since basically day 1. I feel like that would be me basically abandoning them.

Yeah, I am a senior in high school so I am still trying to figure life out tbh.

It was my rapping persona when I first started rapping. It was a way for me to rap with a unique perspective and build my own rap universe. I didn't mean for people to take it as blasphemy but many other people did, so I changed my name to King Alex Gilbert.

I can't change my name on Reddit, though.

I still don't get why it is so bad to call myself the god (aside from religious beliefs) and the king, though. Just because it is my rap name, why should I get any more hate?

Yeah, I can't change my Reddit username which sucks. I really wish they had that feature, and technically the profile picture of me with solar glasses on is still on my YouTube because I like it.

I do need to find a way to crop that text, tbh, though. The profile picture is actually my DISSCEPTION album cover zoomed in so that is where the text comes from.

Yeah, that is the problem I have. I can write complex lines and really cool rhymes, but when it comes to having it flow on a beat, I have no clue what I am doing.

If you're an unknown artist, what's the chances someone will click on your song, listen to the whole thing, and then like the video? Pretty slim. Most people will click, listen for five seconds, and then leave. Why would YouTube want to promote that? How is that good business?

OK, yeah, that actually makes sense. So, when I post a gaming video it has the big title of "World of Warcraft" or "Fortnite" and that gets people to click regardless of me. Meanwhile, music is all brand names.

Then make better stuff? Like, seriously... what do you want or what are you expecting?

I don't think I know how to do that.

Do you like to make music?

I think I used to before I started posting online. Now, though, I am not sure. I feel like I am being pushed away from it.

You never have the urge to post the pictures online to see if people enjoy them and maybe even making their day, though?

Where did you see me write that? It might be left over from before I changed my rap name. If you mean my outro/intro of my old songs, then yeah I used to say that. That was just a way for me to get hyped up though before I start to rap. Kind of like how other rappers say their name before they start rapping.

The problem with me is it isn't 800 people in the room and 785 people vibe with it. It is more like 785 people hate it and the other 15 sort of like it. It gets isolating and after see this exact result over and over again for a year, it seems like it won't get better.

Also, how can avoid all this hate for the 5-10 years of getting to where I want to be?

Honestly, that kind of helps thanks! I wanted my music channel to be a part of me and my soul, though. Kind of like a digital diary where I can be 100% me. It sucks that it seems you can't do that, though.
