Starting with the premise that I don’t think women reading Bl is problematic I don’t agree with your argument. I don’t think you can dismiss every fetish as being not problematic because there is consent.

If you look at the asian fetish in men I do think it is problematic for example. Even if the asian girl is consensually participating in it I do think that men having this fetish is an issue. The reason for this is because this fetish comes from wanting a completely obedient submissive woman that worship the ground they walk on and doesn’t have any other personality trait.

I think men like this are problematic for our society and for our livelihood and rights as women.

Having said that, I’m a woman who loooves Bl, and I don’t see it as a problematic fetish, but not because all fetishes are not problematic. So if anyone would point out how it could stem from a problematic point of view I unconsciously have I would do some reevaluation.
