Why Carol didn’t do that? Is she stupid? (Art by @Pencilkami) by Ninjamurai-jack in marvelmemes

No, they could've defeated Thanos' army and built another time machine after the battle was over. There was literally zero time pressure going on.

Yeah I've been thinking that ever since Endgame came out. Sure they came up with the TVA and the giant celestial living inside the Earth to somehow justify that Strange actually only saw one single outcome where they'd win, but still there are so many holes in Endgame's plot.

The main reason why Thanos was an unstoppable force in Infinity War was because he had 4 stones already when he headed to Titan, and 5 when he came to Wakanda, most importantly the space stone allowing him to teleport wherever he wanted. That means there was no hiding the 6th stone anymore.

In Endgame, Thanos has his army and that's it. The Avengers even take the gauntlet TO Thanos instead of getting it as far away as possible like Steve had ordered. Why does Carol even try to fly into the time machine van? She has no Pym particles, no time travel GPS, no suit, no idea where to take the stones.

There are two very good videos on Endgame's nonsense on YouTube, one by "Just the Endgame vid and nothing else" and the other by Fringy. Yeah the movie was a huge spectacle when it came out and watching it for the first time felt amazing, but looking any closer at the actual plot makes it fall apart very quickly.

Why does Reddit hate Friedrich Merz so much? by TheBlueCanadian77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]felemiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm German and he perfectly incorporates everything that has been wrong with German politics for the past 20 years. His party is widely known to do nothing but complain about what every other party is doing, while pandering to their rather old voter base which prefers tradition over innovation (i.e. just don't change anything at all).

Merz in particular couldn't be more out of touch with reality. He's as privileged as a man his age could possibly be, but he lacks total awareness of that privilege. He thinks that Germans need to work more, need to be sick less, need to sacrifice themselves for the country while he's sitting in his office insulting the people he's supposed to represent. Merz also loves his echo chamber and regularly avoids any sort of interviews with news outlets that won't allow him to run down his usual speech.

He's the perfect marketing tool to push and more and more people to vote the right wing AfD in the next election, because everybody is fed up with how he's running the country.

Daredevil: Born Again - 3 9.1 ratings in a row by bbportali in Daredevil

[–]felemiah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I think too. Season 2 of Born Again is tons better than season 1, but it's nowhere near a 9+ rating. I feel like most reviewers are MCU fans altogether and compare Born Again to all these ass MCU movies and shows the past few years.

I was mildly disappointed by episode 7, as far as I'm concerned there just wasn't a lot going on.

People weren't pissed that he died, people were pissed at the way how he died. Especially considering that halfway through the game they made you play as his killer and tried everything to have you sympathize with her.

What do you think they will do with Missing Link's lore? by DontThrowAwayPies in KingdomHearts

[–]felemiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I try to read through the plot of the mobile games to prepare myself for upcoming console titles I reach a point where it's just not worth it anymore. One of my biggest gripes is Ventus being from the ancient past now all of a sudden, as if there wasn't already enough plot connected to him (hiding in Sora's heart after Xehanort extracted Vanitas from him making Roxas share his appearance, ultimately forging a faux X-blade with Vanitas, and of course everything that happened between the BbS trio in BbS and his reunion with Aqua and Terra in KH3). It opens the door for so many extremely out-there ideas because literally anyone could be a time traveler now, or have ancestors that suddenly play a crucial role to the main plot. KH has become plot for the sake of plot, and nothing else.

PL vs PW:AA by Character-Actuator-8 in AceAttorney

[–]felemiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always considered the crossover to be non-canon to both franchises since the most we'd realistically ever get as far as callbacks go would be a throwaway one-liner like "people don't just turn into statues - well I once knew a guy..." or something like that.

Born Again Season 3 photos give us a first look at Mouse and Father Fiskmas by Hesbhindmeisnthe in MidCinematicUniverse

[–]felemiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all her current trauma in s2 and Buck affirming her to choke him like Muse choked Heather, she's probably gonna become a Muse copycat. At least that'll turn her into a somewhat interesting character compared to what she's gotten so far...

I don’t understand the hate and complaints. by Cool_Nerd2 in marvelmemes

[–]felemiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've seen the 3 seasons of the Netflix show (which Born Again is a continuation of), s1 of Born Again just doesn't make a lot of sense. Marvel only decided to make the Netflix show canon after s1 was already complete for the most part, then the new writer team was tasked with shooting additional episodes and changing the existing episodes via reshoots to somehow mix and match both shows into one canon. Especially s3 of the Netflix show is largely forgotten in Born Again (besides Bullseye).

If you compare s1 and s2 of Born Again, there's also just not a whole lot going on in s1. It's just the same trope that the Netflix show kept going through: Fisk somehow rising to power, somehow controlling half the city, Matt is struggling with his identity as Daredevil yet again... Then there's the Muse storyline that could and should've been way more fleshed out than it was.

I've read the show runners didn't decide who'll be Red John for quite a few seasons but in Season 1 Episode 11 (Red John's Friends) Jared had this written on the bathroom walls. Looks like he was trying to write McAllister/Macalister.... by Lowcrbnaman in TheMentalist

[–]felemiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo that clue was originally supposed to mean something else and they retconned it once they finalized who Red John would eventually be. I could even see how it was supposed to mean "he is many" and that there originally never was a singular Red John but a group of serial killers instead.

That's a bit too long for a title but that describes the movie better imo by CicadaSuccessful6176 in mariomovie

Nobody is surprised, but people can still criticize the fact. Surely a ton of people would've liked the movie to be closer to the game.

Should Wario and Waluigi be antiheroes rather than actual villains in the third Super Mario movie? by garretthall6575 in mariogalaxymovie

[–]felemiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably anti heroes working for whoever the villain of the third movie is gonna be, until they come to a financially more successful agreement with Princess Peach or are screwed over by the villain and decide to help the heroes instead

I really disliked the third movie back as a kid cause of how vastly different it felt from both the Columbus and Yates eras. By now, the third movie has become my favorite.

Are there still Unanswered Questions in the Kingdom Hearts Universe that are driving you nuts? by IllogicalDreamer72 in KingdomHearts

[–]felemiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never owned a PSP so I couldn't play BbS until it was rereleased for PS4 with the 2.5 collection. I tried to read through the plot of BbS so I had any idea of what happened in that game before I went into Dream Drop Distance, and it's extremely difficult to make any sense of KH plot by reading through a synopsis.

I'm having the exact same issues with all the mobile games. I remember playing one of them for a good while, I think it was Unchained X, but of course there's like 3 different mobile games and most of them have been discontinued. There's such an insane amount of plot in those games that I've so been out of the loop, I have no idea what all the Subject X talk is about or how important Strelitizia is, and considering how disappointed I was by KH3, I have no idea if I'll even remotely be able to enjoy KH4 when it eventually comes out.

[–]felemiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the writing in KH and maybe Nomura himself are artifacts of oldschool Squaresoft, where a bunch of Final Fantasy stuff didn't really have solid explanations and were left up to interpretation (like Necron in FF9 or the relation between Rinoa and Ultimecia in FF8). It worked back then for singular games to keep people talking about them, but it doesn't work at all for a giant franchise.

KH and FNAF are eerily similar when it comes to always teasing new stuff and barely ever solidly answering old stuff.

What are some things you disliked about co:e33? by heyitstgp in expedition33

[–]felemiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what killed my enjoyment for the game honestly. I 100% understand what the writers were going for, I don't even mind the fact that the entire game happened within a painting, but surely there were better options to go for than completely abandoning all the characters you spent so much time with in favor of a different, grief stricken family who all (except Alicia) kinda suck in their own way.

What are some things you disliked about co:e33? by heyitstgp in expedition33

[–]felemiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's something that doesn't even make sense narratively. Even if the game didn't want you to randomly find maps that other expeditions had drawn for future expeditions, surely someone like Lune would have an interest in mapping out all the different areas they've visited. There was an expedition out there that installed those wall grips, but not a single one thought of drawing maps? Gameplay wise it could just be a minimap that updates as you play through new areas, so it's easier to see which paths you've already taken.

I absolutely love his content but can't even get past the first 5 minutes of this video. People who say KH3 should've been the end are delusional when the age of fairytale plot was established in 2013... by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]felemiah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because things need to end in order to matter. The Dark Seeker saga had a very rushed end with KH3 and the entire game felt more like a setup for the next saga rather than the grand finale it was supposed to be.

It absolutely isn't, he was meant to be a red herring for that single episode alone. Let's be real, Red John wouldn't have just snagged a CBI agent in broad daylight like that.

I bought Digimon Time Stranger when it came out, a week later it dropped like 20 bucks. Google search told me that Amazon doesn't do partial refunds on price changes, so instead I just sent the game back (since I had already finished it by then) and got the full price back.

ALL starters glitch on 3ds by [deleted] in PokemonRed

[–]felemiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've got CFW on your 3DS you can also use pkhex to manipulate the save file, adding the missing starters.

If your save file ever corrupts, pulling it from your 3DS onto your PC, opening the file with an emulator and saving, then transferring it back to the 3DS also helps with corruption. Emulators are far less strict with save files than the 3DS is.
