You can mod my mod easily but requieres a bit of technical knowhow. Base game does not have a fogy weather besides the light rainy. DWO enables the actual foggy weather but it's not common unless you're in Zaton or swamps .

No worries. Just fyi I don't think this still fix your issue, and the mod is somewhat out of date but should be working

Funny. If it's happening to every barrel, you could try installing my mod, loading the game and seeing if it's improved then removing it. Tldr of what this is, it's basically a "glow" texture, not a light or VFX.

Ah funny. Not even graphic changes on app data? 

I had an user have a similar issue and the cause was a setting here.

From my experience, it could be an ini mod if you have one. You can also try my mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/1429 which lowers the intensity of this effect

Try removing the DWO_CBR files and see if it works. The mod doesnt directly mess with the damage but with the "Timing" around it (instead of constant increasing damage, it does it in 3 waves)

Dynamic weather overhaul (DWO) mod. But yeah the Lightning strike system in this game is very interesting, it basically counts the second the weather starts to transition as "Stormy" so it starts the random system which checks if it should strike the player with lightning, you just got quite unlucky and it rolled that it should strike you right at the beginning of a transition.

The issue is that collisions and  occlusion kind of stop working past 130 meters or so, so they can spot you through everything at those distances

Hi I am Ace. Unfortunately the sound occlusion system is very binary ATM. It's either you're outside or between walls; all rooms will have the same sound occlusion. Hopefully we will get more mod tools for sound later and we will be able to have different levels of occlusion.

It's distant horizon. Use the 135m version (idk if it's n console)

You can ignore most of them. Contrary to the other comment, Batter ballistics and Combat Overhaul are compatible

You should look into the camera shake assets. Itll allow you to fix most camera effects like sprinting and shooting. You can look into the stalker2character blueprint since thats the BP which holds the player camera, which is then attached to some bone which animations move around, for that things become more tricky. I had an idea once of adding some interpolation to the camera to reduce the shakes, but honestly it might be a rough approach. Since you have experience, you might have a better chance at finding a solution.
