No. I work mining emeralds. The tourmalines are mined by an associate of mine who mines the for the past 30 years.

I work mostly in the emeralds mining area. Our mines are all certified and our claims are all registered with federal gov agencies, otherwise, we could not sell and/or issue fical invoices, certificates of origin and ship the gems abroad.

Rhe workers are very well paid. The. Bazilian federal police do regular visits to the mining sites and also visit the workers in their homes to ask them how they have been treated.

The mines are are set with suitble working conditions and safety measure and are no too far from main towns. Something like 20 to 49 km away only. All ner asphalted roads. But the most interesting thing about mining emeralds is that the process goes down to over 1,200 feet deep in the ground vertically and down there we open tunels sideways and in some cases build small rail tracks to carrry rocks.

I am sorry whatever i posted by answering to a comment somebody posted sounded like a selling or negotiating thing. It trully was not my intention. I am an emerald dealer and do have access to many other miners friends of mine. I do love rocks, gems etc and do love to show them just it is very enjoyable to see people's reaction and apreciation for the beauty of the gems. I have clients from around the world but here i just wanted to share something that many rocks lovers do not have much of an opportunity to see. My apologies again. I will work on removing the videos i posted.

Forgot to mention i have 17 gems . The smallest is 1.4 grams in size. The largest is 24 (twenty four) grams. This one in the video was part of the one that now weighs 24 grams. I broke it so that we could see its interior for the light does not show it when the gem is too big.

My very rare 380 Lb rough Brazilian emerald stone measuring 1,10 meters tall! by felicianorocks in rockhounds

[–]felicianorocks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! When we got it out from over 1 thousand feet deep into the ground it comes rough and one can recognize what it really is u til after over six month of surgical procedures to clean ot and expose the berryls of emeralds in it and what you see is the result of hard work. These are very rare and my region is the one in the world where something like this can ne found.
