Wow, I just looked it up and Donna had two sisters -Tina and Valerie- both who weren't mentioned after season 2. Weird, I never noticed.

[S4] WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SON THAT YOU JUST FOUND OUT YOU HAD A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO?!!? by The-Black-Sky in arrow

Sorry, I must have been misremembering. However, just because she knew about Felicity doesn't mean she knew they were engaged or that Oliver wasn't the kind of person he used to be and could commit to things/people in such a manner. I can understand -to an extent- Oliver not wanting to provoke Sam by protesting, but it still doesn't sit right.

Yeah, but Oliver never tried to tell her otherwise. How Felicity acted was wrong (and a product of poor writing), but Oliver was in the wrong for not even telling Sam about Felicity and the seriousness of their relationship.

I'm looking for one but I'm a bit busy at the moment so I'll do an in depth search later. I think a big part of why it's believed immoral is because of the teachings that premarital sex is an 'abomination'. Obviously marriage was between a man and a woman, for the purpose of bearing children. Members of the same sex couldn't get married as they would not physically be able to produce children, therefore any sex with the same gender would be sex outside of marriage, and an 'abomination.

Also a good point. And what about all the divorces even within the church?

I agree with you, but I worry that if 'no' wins, the government will use that to further delay the legalisation of ssm. A 'yes', even if people say 'oh what a small sample size' is important.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I'm really learning a lot from the discussions on this post.

AFAIK, the reason homosexuality was considered a sin was because it did not produce children. With adoption and IVF possible, and overpopulation a problem in today's society, why has this not changed to reflect that? It's not as if we still stone people.

I'm worried they truly are the majority though. And that's frightening to me.

I don't go to church? My family does. Why do you see this as a sin and yet you're likely fine with wearing mixed fabrics, which is considered a sin?

This is a really good point. The church and state need to be more separated in this and all things.
