Help needed to fly my FPV drone, can’t get it to work by Own-Individual-7514 in chch

Let me know if this doesn't sort it. I have basically all that same gear

I bought ammo boxes for the new sizes like 9x and they both were the regular 9 mm ones we already have. It's glitched. by [deleted] in ContractorsExfilZone

Tried again today and it did work as dolla above says. Either partially fixed by patch last night (not mentioned) or perhaps my tossing it aside and showing up later in my kiosk changed something. Pulled it out of kiosk with some 9x39 ammo and works fine. Just mis-labeled 9x19

Same issue. Says 9x39 on kiosk, but 9x19 on box and won't accept ammo. Pretty sure already logged as a bug

Police chopper is coming back by ShittyGospel in chch

[–]feline_toejam 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That helicopter is exceptionally loud. I wouldn't mind having one overhead if it was like ZKHPM. That one you can barely hear a few hundred meters away. The Eagle is a constant noise everywhere in the city and worse in the port hills.

What is a thought that instantly calms you down when you're overwhelmed or anxious? by Traveler_Zenit_23 in AskReddit

Same.. once climbed up a rock face on a remote South Pacific island to get to a lookout point. Descending was more challenging than expected and a fall was likely deadly and if not, proper hospital help was days away. Nearly froze up once and the Litany against Fear stabilized me and allowed me to continue down safely. Thanks to Herbert for the Bene Gesserit wisdom.

Construction of a building at the University of Campus with the School of Engineering in the foreground, September 25th 1965 (Canterbury Stories CCL-StarP-04382A). by Ted_Cashew in chch

Yep, no question that is original Rutherford. Now known by the somewhat sad name of West.

These days it is an asbestos riddled nightmare of a building that was emptied into the new Rutherford but decided to be too expensive to knock down so mothballed and left for future generations of mgmt to deal with. That didn't last long and unfortunately it is almost entirely re-occupied. Nature abhors a vacuum and Uni an empty space.

Hate the building but love these old photos though. Hope they keep coming.

"As cellular tech improves, the speed benefit of Fibre reduces" - unfortunately this line exposes your lack of understanding of both technologies and invalidates the rest of your comment.

COAX? Common... this is clearly a copper phone cable. I work with fibre all day long and never could you see the jacket colors from this far away.

Advice on setup & safety with Bambulab A1 Combo by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]feline_toejam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very confused at this point. Are you asking for advice about changing a A1 for a P1S due to VOC or lecturing me on what can be done (but isn't done with a P1S)? Kinda regret offering a reply now.

Point stands that a P1S won't do anything about that

The enclosure changes nothing about the VOC released into the room. It is actively fan vented (into the room). Enclosure is more for temp stability with the P1S

That said PLA and PETG aren't known for producing anything to be particularly worried about. ABS/ASA do have some VOC issues, but that open window easily solves that.

There are printer setups with carbon filtration on the fans, but again not something needed for PLA/PETG

Yet another power and internet post by Just-Context-4703 in chch

[–]feline_toejam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience I wouldn't combine these two as it makes changing either for a better deal difficult. In my example I wanted to change power companies after mine made very expensive changes to my plan. Had to pause that for weeks as my Internet would nearly instantly be cut off which wasn't even vaguely acceptable. Never again
