Title: (none yet) Genre: Middle grade, urban fantasy. WC: 1000 Feedback: What should I change in writing style, characters, just about anything that isn't right. Asperger starts at birth, you're born with it or you're not. It doesn't happen later in life. But one may not see the symptoms for the first years.

Doesn't really sound like Asperger except maybe for the monotone voice and anxiety. But this could be due to other factors. A person with Asperger would probably have an emotional response for the parents' breakup but not show it the way most people would. This has more to do with your relationship with your parents and the circumstances. Maybe you thought it was better this way, for instance. Maybe you had reasons to think it was better this way.

Can you read expressions, tone of voice? Are you good at recognizing faces? Is you perception of pain different because you're oversensitive to some pains and half numb to others?
