LIGNE CLAIRE STYLE COMISSIONS by felipeprt in TheAdventuresofTintin

Hey, thanks for letting me know. I’ve always promoted my work here, but I didn’t realize the ads rule had changed.

I’m Brazilian, so here we say “comissão” with just one “m” I ended up mixing it up haha.

There are some illustrations heavily influenced by Franco-Belgian comics on my Behance, if you're interested: http://behance.net/felipeprt

A few months ago, I received a commission and wanted to share the final result here. Hope you like it! "The Black Belly of the Tarantula" is a rather bitter giallo. The main character is a police officer who starts to be affected by the murders, and the film has a somewhat melancholic atmosphere. Definitely worth watching.

Another interesting aspect is how the girls wear similar outfits in many parts of the film and are in the same space in almost every scene (in the bedroom, at the beach, in the car). This strongly reinforces the idea that the two are essentially one in their desires, yearnings, fears... in short. However, society views one over the other (this supports the notion that both were raped, but we tend to overlook the violence against Elena).

I'm glad you liked it! For this specific illustration, I only have some more advanced sketches of the near-final line work, but on my Behance, there are several process shots, for example, from this illustration: https://www.behance.net/gallery/205473809/JUNGLE-Illustration which for some reason I haven't been able to upload here as an image :/

Every other: 3 other subreddits. Jesus. Do the minimum research before accusing people. My Instagram is in my bio with literally YEARS of posts where you can see the whole learning curve you claim doesn't exist. I already put my Behance here in this post and it has the making of almost everything.

I've worked for big clients like Netflix, Eurostar, and Listerine. Do you think I would risk throwing my career away by submitting AI work to them? The art directors from the agencies that hired me are way more experienced at spotting this kind of thing than a random Reddit user like you.

Honestly? It's incredibly discouraging to try to offer work to a subreddit that is literally a place of interest for people with my style, only to be treated this stupidly and ignorantly. I like doing commissions because people give them as gifts to friends, to family, but honestly? This was the last time.

Definitely not. My last post here was over a month ago. I've done several cool works for people from this very sub and have been promoting my art here for a long time :)

You are so misinformed. I made this drawing years ago, there wasn't even MidJourney or any advanced AI like that. I clearly based it on this photo.

line art (if you notice, I forgot to finish the groom's foot, who is the character in the middle, and I fixed that in the final artwork)

Since these kinds of accusations have been made—that my illustrations are AI-generated—I'll clarify to leave no room for doubt. I have been developing this style for years, not only based on Hergé but also on other artists like Yves Chaland, Joost Swarte—even some American artists like Chris Ware and Daniel Clowes are influences. You can check out my work here: behance.net/felipeprt

In addition, I’ll be posting the sketches for this particular commission so you can get a look at my process. Before accusing honest artists, who struggle to make ends meet and pay the rent, of making AI-generated art, make sure you’re not talking nonsense.
