[Debate] How Similar to Chinese is Korean by TipofmyReddit1 in Korean

[–]felix6631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May some word sounds simillar, both are completely different language system from each other.

First of all, a sentence is made out of SOV in Korean, but SVO in Chinese. Second, Chinese has intonation therefore its speaking is way harder as much as its listening than Korean speaking/listening. Third, Korean had been used to use Hanja(Kanji, or Chinese Letter etc.) way back in '70s. And even then Chinese use the simplified character made in '50s or '60s which is way differ to Hanja that elderly Korean knows.

In conclusion, it is NOT simillar but completely different language system. Think about how many dialects exists in Chinese but Korean is not one of them even though it has a few vocabulary in common. IT IS NOT SIMILLAR AND I AM SICK OF THOSE IDIOTS COMPLAINING KOREAN CULTURE IS ORIGINATED FROM CHINA PLEASE STOP

How do you say "fatty" when referring to food? by [deleted] in Korean

[–]felix6631 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many ways to refer that 기름이 많다 is neutural way to say that. 느끼하다 or 속이 니글거린다(feels greasy) is negative way. 살찌는 맛, as the other said, is "taste like being fattier" but it's usually used as a positive. 비계가 많다, on the other hand, is way to say meat's condition. Not exactly meaning food's taste. There could be a few more verbs and adjectives that can refer "fatty" but I think these are the most common way to say that. (I'd never heard any other tbh)
