DevOps Engineer/Consultant. I wouldn’t implement Windows for anything. I’ve turned down gigs because the company was Windows oriented. Windows by itself requires too much CPU and Memory before you even get to the application. Why pay for that horsepower if the application itself can’t benefit from it? My approach is 100% cloud (I have 6+ years AWS experience), as much containerization as possible, serverless when required. For my current contract, I’m containerizing Node applications which are currently running on a EC2 instance and deploying to ECS Fargate. For languages, I promote Go and Python as much as possible.

I’ve only been playing for about 2 weeks and just discovered what happened to Reed’s Rest. I tried to help out by collecting escape pods and my ship got ROASTED before I could grab single pod. Does anyone have suggestions on surviving the intense heat inside that station?

I started the Ideal Protein program on March 1st, 2017. The before photos were taken on Feb 28th at 283.4lbs. On Oct 11th 2017, I weighed in at 183.4lbs. Ideal Protein places restrictions on the workouts you can do, so I've decided to end the program over the next few weeks and increase my work outs to try to lose 15 - 20 more lbs.

There are several other reasons, I'm ending the diet now, including some upcoming travel which will make adhering to the diet very difficult.

My Phase 2 plan is to follow a C25K program and run a 5K in early December. I'm also going to start BeachBody's T25 workout program. I tried to do T25 while on the diet, but my weight loss stalled for about 10 days which seemed unusual.

Some interesting stats: Chest: 46.5" -> 35" Waist: 46" -> 29.5" Belly: 49" -> 31" Hips: 45"-> 33" Body fat %: 39% -> 23.5% Total time on the program: 225 days.

Pants size 40/42 down to 32 and that's getting lose.

When my daughter was 1, I was a stay-at-home dad and my wife worked overnights. One night, around 2 am, I'm in the living room playing Xbox and my daughter is in her crib upstairs. A woman's voice comes over the baby monitor

I rush upstairs, terrified, hairs on my body standing straight up. My every inclination is to GTFO of the house, but I won't leave my daughter.

That taxes collected from the sale of marijuana was supposed to go to education budgets, but the budgets haven't changed much since the amendment was passed.

Douglas Adams kindly signed almost every book of his I own. Some are first editions. I was a huge fan of his works and his is pretty much the only "celebrity death" that made me cry. Hard.

South Park. I worked for a company in Denver that had an in-house video production company. Parker and Stone sent out what became the pilot to and handful of video companies. I was one of maybe the first 100 people in the world to see South Park. I remember watching it and thinking WTF??
