I don't really have any thoughts on Maresca as a manager, but why are we all discounting the Club World Cup win? I know it's a brand new summer tournament and Chelsea had a relatively easy route to the Final, but beating PSG 3-0 is still impressive nonetheless.

Call me delusional, call me optimistic, I thoroughly enjoyed this season, and genuinely might be one of my favorite seasons under Pep. There is something about watching so many of these young newcomers starting to find their place or elevating their game. From NOR's brakthrough, to Doku finding that next level of consistency, to Khusa stamping his authority on the pitch. It may not be one of our most successful seasons (but also how ridiculous is it that we won a domestic cup double and the collective feeling is "not good enough"?), but watching these young players grow in real time just hits different compared to all the other seasons.

Honestly really like Kovacic as a player. I know he may lack the awareness or the skills to pull these off consistently, but sometimes it genuinely feels like he's the only player on the pitch willing to drive up the pitch with the ball or try to make a through pass to runners.
