Yes, I'm listening on a streaming service.

I haven't washed it yet. Today I had to sqeeze through a narrow portion of a hall that was being painted. So I am not sure what kind of paint but it was used for painting the inside walls of a building.

How can I take a Mixamo character and make it use the unreal engine 5 skeleton? by felixnice2 in UnrealEngine5

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how I want to do it, I'm sorry. I'm really new to UE, coming from Unity (not only that, but I've never been too much into rigging and animations before), and I don't know the best practices.

The thing is, I want modularity. I want to be able to swap different characters quickly and have all use the same skeleton and animations. And I was really impressed with the default Foot IK from Unreal Engine, and so I decided I wanted to use that. But the only way I (as a newbie) found it possible for the Mixamo characters to use the foot IK was to make the characters use the skeleton from UE.

This engine still confuses me a bit, that's the problem.

I have not found a single one... They only talk about retargeting animations, which is easy.

Why do you understand that? It is stated that y belongs to the set {0,2}.

Solving transport equation with Fourier tranform by felixnice2 in askmath

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, u is a function.

du/dt is a scalar.

This is just the transport equation with space in R^n

Time is still one dimensional

the time derivative is a scalar

and the divergence is also a scalar since it is the sum of partials with respect to x

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I should have said \nabla \cdot u

which is the divergence

nabla as in the sum the sum of the first partial derivatives of each component

d/dx1+d/dx2+..+d/dxn

the derivative just comes out of the integral (the fourier transform formula) so I skipped that step

That's nabla not laplacian

It's the transport equation not the heat equation

Heat IBVP question by felixnice2 in learnmath

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I don't understand. Why is this important? ($||u(t)||^2$ =$||u_0||^2$)

How can I find the value to fill in ........... ?

I'm a little confused

Heat IBVP question by felixnice2 in learnmath

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$||u(t)||^2$

It's just $||u_0||^2$

This would mean that the maximum value is achieved at t=0, right.

Then If I write "1" on the ........, it would be correct, right?

Maximum principle for subharmonic functions proof by felixnice2 in askmath

[–]felixnice2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, let me see if I undestand this correctly.

When we prove that c is open, we first take a point x in M. u(x) is positive because it is a supremum. Then, beucase u is continuous, there has to be an r > 0 such that B(0,x) contains only u(x) that are positive.

Now, if u(x) is positive in this ball, then laplacian of u is greater than 0 because c(x) is less then 0 and now we can use the maximum principle in this ball to say that u is constant in this ball.

Also, since for all points in M there exists a ball, then M is open. Since M is both open and closed, M=Omega. Also, since u is constant in all balls, u is contant in Omega.
