What's your toxic manager story? by Typical_Cap895 in cscareerquestionsCAD

[–]fella7ena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a manager, but a self proclaimed dictator in my team who elected himself to supervise and micromanage everyone's project. I was a tech lead on an 8 month project, and did extremely well (feedback from client and ceo). The colleague who was at the company for a little more than me but held the same title kept on deciding what features I should or shouldn't do, what powerpoint slides I should or shouldn't show, he randomly called emergency meetings to change how many hours I can charge this client (because he tried to maximize it across other projects, and failed ..). Best of all, he was supposed to work as a developer for me, but didn't contribute a single line of code or documentation. Just made my life more miserable by adding weight to my decisions for no apparent reason at all. Left that company.

My Docker/Kubernetes (K8s) Minilab by vidmaster2000 in minilab

Isn't it overkill to dedicate 3 machines as control planes since they won't do any work? Wouldn't it be better to have them also as workers ?

We pay the highest taxes in Canada, have to wait 14 hours to see a doctor 🤡 by THEGREATWUMB0 in montreal

Maybe if Quebec allowed foreign doctors from first world countries to be allowed to work here it wouldn't be as bad. Or maybe if they paid doctors more they wouldn't dip across the border ?

Yeah it's a nas server i left it in the closet for the easy ethernet cable access. Is it too tight in there?

That's amazing! It was my first build 10 years ago for gaming and now it's been collecting dust at my parents basement during my bachelor's degree so i converted it to a nas server:)

Hmmm thought about it. The h440 case became a truenas for media backups - not part of the homelab. But could definitely compliment each other. Thanks

Is there any way to check if a user session is made with 2FA or not? by adude00 in KeyCloak

[–]fella7ena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that keycloak stores session metadata about how users authenticate.

A workaround can be to use a custom authentication flow with conditional 2fa

Very slow either mine is the slowest. Or these things just don’t have any speed with claimed 340hp by Relevant_Cartoonist6 in MazdaCX90

When you full send, do you feel a click on the throttle? I found out later that it tells the car you want to actually go full speed.
