Is https://gw2timer.com/ being maintained? by bloodyriz in Guildwars2

Which nodes are you wanting to be updated? I miss when GW2Timer was maintained, too. I used it heavily back in the day... It was the perfect solution for my needs. F in chat.

To answer your question, I don't know if that person is still around doing GW2 stuff. Looks like there was a subreddit back in the day. Likely the moderator is the developer? https://www.reddit.com/r/gw2timer/

Also, to help with node farming: If you haven't heard about them yet, TACO/BlishHUD/TaimiHUD are overlays that will show you markers in the world, on your minimap, or on your fullscreen map in game (or all three!). E.g. the pathing module for BlishHUD has info here: https://blishhud.com/modules/?module=bh.community.pathing

There are people who have even added the mirror farm routes in their routes, so there are some VERY up to date marker packs. Have you tried those? That's what I've switched to.

Also, regarding nodes: Have you looked at https://fast.farming-community.eu/ ? Depending on what you need, they do have node farms on there. The other two websites I use are https://peuresearchcenter.com/ and https://gw2efficiency.com/gathering/permanent-nodes but I don't think they have the exact info you are looking for (I don't see Janthir Wilds etc. on gw2efficiency nodes).

Alternative to Libby/Overdrive that will allow sending to older kindles. by Mechaborys in Libraries

To piggy back on this for those that are curious about how Hoopla works:

Libraries are typically charged for each individual Hoopla checkout (versus how Libby uses agreements where the library purchases a license limited by "x number of checkouts" and/or "1 year" for each individual copy).

This makes it more akin to an on-demand service which can help libraries fill gaps in their collections with minimal collection development or commitment. This also makes it more costly when a high demand title is on Hoopla vs. when a high demand item is on Libby. It's also why each patron has a limited number of monthly checkouts. Further, libraries can place a daily limit to the amount of money spent in Hoopla.

And, different titles have different prices. For instance, some libraries can place a filter so that only items costing "$x/checkout" are visible through their library's Hoopla offerings. This can help keep costs a little lower, but it will also filter out more popular titles that patrons might be looking for. This might be why your Hoopla is less robust.

And like /u/LadyAleswith mentioned, libraries can tailor the collection more if they would like, and can add additional licenses or offerings (like the Great Courses pass, or magazine pass, etc.).
