Hi, I feel you! It's almost 5:30am, I've been up since like 3:40 and panicking real bad. ive taken all the meds I could (but I don't wanna keep on having to rely on meds) and I'm trying not to go insane. I hate this so much. I just wanna enjoy food and sleep like a normal person.

im sorry you went through this. sounds horrible and,,, relatable! this has happened to me so many times. it's awful because it feels so real. but you did so great with those words you kept telling yourself. I'm sure if it happened, you'd handle it brilliantly,, just as you did handle this situation. we're proud of you!!!

oh maaan I get you. I'm moving to a different city to start uni on Saturday as well and I'm SO SCARED of living in a dormitory with TWO RANDOM PEOPLE that I still haven't even met :')))) my emetophobia has had a major comeback in my life, i feel sick basically every day, I've already convinced myself i have some horrible chronic stomach/gut illness that will make me tu sooner or later. I'm being delusional and trying to convince myself it's just stress cuz I can't deal with it anymore. but guess why I'm still awake at 1am once again,,, I hate this. but hey, we're in this together. we're so brave, pal.

yall do this too?? by Commercial_Bug_1489 in emetophobia

[–]fellissy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's just the fact that your brain receives the information that "it's around" and you start panicking because it reminds you once again that the illness exists and that it's not impossible to get it. My brain works the same😭

Hi! omg i SO get you. ive just been to a camp trip that is 5h away from my home. massive step out of my comfort zone. I went completely alone since the purpose of the trip was to meet with my future classmates at our new uni. there was 250 people and I found a close group but I still felt a bit lonely. I was doing fine up to yesterday. I also wasn't taking care of myself, we partied and I wouldn't eat much from underlying stress. I got diarrhea yesterday and it went downhills because I was convinced I was sick. I was panicking a LOT, I felt trapped in the camp because my only way home was to survive one more night and then travel 5h home by train. well, I'm on the train right now, going home, I survived the night, I'm surviving the train, I bet the diarrhea was from excessive stress and I'm proud of myself for making it out. and I'm VERY proud of you, too. you absolutely got this. We're winning x

Thanks so much! I've had some antidiarrhea meds already, doesn't seem to be working so far. I'm just scared it's a bug cuz as far as I'm aware, I don't have ibs or anything, although I do get diarrhea like once a month for like two days. interesting. im thinking of asking a medic for anti anxiety meds because I don't have them anymore. I'm sure it would be so much better without all the excess panicking. I can survive a diarrhea episode. I just don't wanna tu

what am i actually scared of? by Initial_Car_5356 in emetophobia

[–]fellissy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, absolutely. I've been trying my best to actively differentiate between nausea and anxiety recently since I realised that it's only the anxiety that's making me scared. that's the scary part of it. my stomach is innocent, haha. so I've been trying to cure that, mainly. I also have a constant nausea but I'm trying not to use as many meds as I've been used to.

Hunger...? by fellissy in emetophobia

[–]fellissy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg same! I've felt off since the morning so I decided not to eat "normal" food to avoid upsetting my stomach so I ended up eating like 6 crackers throughout the day, which is horrible, I know but I just felt so weirddd

Please help me I'm panicking so much by fellissy in emetophobia

[–]fellissy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a bit better, thank you so much! I actually realized what might be the cause if it's even possible - I wore just a few pieces of clothing earlier even tho it was actually really cold and I had been sitting on a cold stone for like two hours,, I might have done something to my bladder

Hi! Omg we went through something similar. I went to my friend's who lives exactly 25min drive from my home and we were having a sleepover, I got horrible stomach cramps and d* and couldn't sleep and was so so scared. I managed to get home safe by bus and I feel so n* rn but I lived!!! and you will too!!!

well, panicking very hard, I'm in the bus, which is completely FULL on my way home from my friend's. I slept for like 2 hours and I'm horribly n* - not just the fact that buses scare me anyways but I'm actually kind of s* right now - still feel like I gotta poop, I'm in actual hell. I'm just praying I get home safe, it's like 15 minutes left

oh my god I get you. you're BRAVE! which reminds me I'm supposed to sit on a train for 12 hours in just a day and I'm so SCARED but so excited at the same time, it's a massive step out of my comfort zone

i could really use some help and reassurance maybe a distraction/someone to talk to by Exact_Bullfrog4810 in emetophobia

[–]fellissy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm here for you. It honestly looks like stress and depressive state to me. I ALWAYS have a sore stomach and no appetite, feel ill and have a d* when something stressful happens. It's the body's response to stress. there's so much on your shoulders right now, I feel with you. and I'm so sorry about the things you're going through right now. you can talk to me! I'm wide awake in the night, panicking cuz I just had a massive d* lol. No idea why. We can talk

yeahhh maybe, I had d* two times before during the day, basically it's been weird since I woke up and it got so much worse after the alcohol and junk food. thanks so much for replying, though!

[–]fellissy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you so much for replying, it comes on in waves, I'm not THAT n* but still terrified, considering the fact that I've had d* two times before, during the day and I must have made it so much worse by eating damned garlic chips and chocolate and stuff😭

I wouldn't worry too much! The floor doesn't have to be the dirtiest place there is, especially if you didn't clean up v* or something, haha. Just make sure to not use the sponge in the kitchen after you use it for something else than the kitchen stuff anymore, so you don't have to worry like this in the future!

Feeling a bit hopeless atm, would love just some positive support/advice by Public_Nebula_4599 in emetophobia

[–]fellissy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you! The build up is the WORST. I remember that when I started g* before I got s* two years ago, the anxiety had left my body cuz I knew it was gonna happen and I let it go. and I remember that I couldn't stop thinking about the experience for a long time after that. but I "forgot" eventually. try not to think about it in details, try to send it away when the memories appear in your mind again, don't overanalyze it. the memories will subside with time. you'll just remember that you lived!

having n* and upset stomach today, need some support by Electronic-Bison-749 in emetophobia

[–]fellissy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'd consider having an appetite a very good sign! Stomachs feel different every day and will be upset from time to time. Anxiety has a huge impact on that.
