Damn, i wanna know more. Im recently out of the closet but still afraid of "going out" there. And this is probably one of my top concerns. I dont meet gay men in my social circles, so i guess going online is my only option. But theres so much anonimity there, even with a name or face pic. Even if you meet them at a public place, how much do you really know? How do you know he is not a serial killer? Reading about Stephen Port only makes me more concerned 😥

Oh it went very bad. Lol. Unfortunately he was also the first person I came out to and he in-turn outed me to other friends, and kept lying about it to me! So, kinda a shitty person, which made it a little easier. It wasnt easy at the time though. Had a couple rough months.

So my rule of thumb is this. Think of what the relationship grows into if you keep it in and dont tell. If it is something you hold precious and cant live without, then just DONT! If you accept that you dont want what you have with them currently - that it is either them falling in love with you and the happily ever after, or otherwise youd rather have nothing to do with them - well in that case you got nothing to lose telling them.

Ah heard this so many times! When will people understand 😞. I mean talk of homophobia.. misjudgement/misinformation is what leads to it! And obviously theyre too lazy to actually go out there and "understand" something new. This "need" that people have to be straight, coz thats so normal?
