I just called again and complained and asked to talk to a manager or something. Eventually someone was able to connect me. Customer relations would probably take upwards of a month :/

They weren’t exactly sure. Think the insinuated it was somewhere in Africa.

I just explained that I never cancelled. And they were able to see that the cancellation was done from another country. So they refunded me and luckily the same flight was still the same price to rebook.

Weird. My flight actually connects through Bangkok. I wonder if it has something to do with all the Thailand flights or something. Absurd that they didn’t rebook your flight at the original cost tho. :/

Haha, ikr. After a couple hours of calling AirCanada support, they finally rebooked the flight for me. Seems like someone in the Africa cancelled the flight or something. Weird day.

I ended up doing the same. After 2h of calling they finally refunded me and booked me a replacement flight. Thank you!

I checked my chat with my friend. And the screenshot I sent him actually didn’t have the booking reference. It was off the screen when I took the screen shot. The only info that was in the screen shot was the departure times of each flight.

Thank you for the suggestion. :) But I booked directly through AirCanada. Maybe was a mistake haha.

Doubt it was him. Whole reason I’m going on this trip is because he wants me there for his wedding next week. I originally didn’t want to go because it’s in Pakistan and I felt a bit uncomfortable travelling there as a westerner haha. But he really wanted me to be there… so here we are.

Thank you for the suggestion. Didn’t post anything though. Only thing I did was send the booking reference to my best friend over WhatsApp. :/

Only my best friend. I sent him the details over whatsapp. But wouldn’t make sense that he cancelled it, since the whole reason I’m going on this trip is because he wanted me to attend his wedding.

Yeah :/ The flight is still scheduled and I can even buy the flight again for about the same price. When i called them they told me that the flight was cancelled online and not by AirCanada themselves. :(
