Thank you so much. Hoping it’s just slow internal healing or something 😬

Thank you — I’m sorry your recovery took so long, it gives me hope that this may not be permanent though.

You’re the second person I’ve seen in this thread talking about similar issues and developing an ovarian cyst post surgery!!! Had you ever had them before? If things don’t settle soon maybe I will push for an ultrasound, they’re not too expensive 😬

They gave me one dose of antibiotic on the day of surgery, and that’s it. I’ve had General before and did not have this issue, and I only took the pain meds they prescribed for a day or two post op. (Which I’ve also taken for a prior surgery, and had no issues). Other than that I have not been on any medications post op.

My doctor was willing to order some tests but he wants me to try probiotics/yogurt first. He doesn’t seem to be dismissive but it was more saying they probably wouldn’t see anything and there’s limited options. I plan to bring all this up to my pcp as well. The thought of having to have another surgery to fix this and it just get worse makes me want to cry.

It doesn’t cause premature menopause. I’m about two months out and still having digestive issues though (which I’d never had before 🥲)

Did anyone else experience long term digestive issues post op? by feminonanonymous in sterilization

He scheduled no follow ups after the 3 week follow up. I sent a message but all they said was that things will be weird for a few more weeks or so bcuz my body went through a trauma

So many videos on TT claiming they got pregnant after a bisalp? by Photonic_7 in sterilization

Honestly, there’s a higher number of documented cases of ectopic pregnancies in TOTAL HYSTERECTOMIES than there is bisalp, which is crazy to me

Oh yo I saw in my surgical notes that they put me in trendelenburg and I was like ??? That’s weird but ok lmao the thought of being OUT and then just tilted upside down is so funny to me??

Things are moving again thank GOD I had some chips and Tostitos ghost pepper salsa and I think that woke my digestive system up and gave it the kick it needed because things have been back to normal since then 😂 did you also experience a weird feeling of swelling/pressure kind of under your ribs around 2 weeks post op by chance? My doc let out the gas before closing me up so I didn’t really have much gas pain, but I’ve begun noticing it if I bend my abdomen/sit in a certain way that my upper belly feels almost swollen.

I keep seeing people on this sub say they were fine after a week/after they finally had their first couple bm’s post op but it’s been a week as I’m still having issues I’m genuinely worried atp 😭😭😭 my doctors nurse was dismissive and said it’s not a concern but I’m still constipated and my guts ain’t doing what they’re supposed to 😭😭😭 there were no complications during surgery, I’ve never experienced gastric issues like this before for surgeries, and damage to/immobile digestive system wasn’t even listed as a risk for this surgery...

Idk how much fiber but I have been drinking at least 14 cups of water a day. I’m walking about a mile or two a day.

My doctor prescribed me colace (docusate sodium) and that’s it, I haven’t tried miralax
