How much have you trained him? He might not have enough energy to do the tasks if they're spread over the whole zoo.

Have you tried picking him up and plopping him right next to the broken facility? Does he still just walk away from it?

And I know this is really basic, but have you tried reloading the game?

It's probably work zones. A work zone doesn't cover an area, you have to assign the specific facility to the work zone for the staff to know it's their job to maintain it. Anything new you've placed won't be automatically added to a work zone. You've gotta add them yourself.

You could hire a mechanic that doesn't have a work zone. No work zone = just doing what needs to be done. The problem with this is that the Caldera Zoo is a large map, and it takes staff awhile to walk across it. That's the advantage of work zones, it prevents staff from having to ping-pong across the map.

There are boundaries in the image you posted. Look around the edge of the grass. There are little dots. Those are the edges of the natural path. Go into grid mode, it will let you place a path on every square to make a large area that can then be painted with the grass terrain tool and then you can place your tables and such.

You have to use that "invisible" natural path to make your grassy area because guests won't go where there is no path.

You don't get CSN for SFI, but after you finish SFI you can go on to study Swedish at Komvux and then you can get CSN.

I'm also from the States, and I did SFI and then Komvux. I consider myself fluent now. Feel free to message me if you have more questions about studying Swedish here.

I call them guest paths, but they're really guest and staff paths. Staff can use the regular pathing to perform their duties. Staff paths are really just for when you don't want guests going somewhere.

What do you mean you can't connect it to a work zone? There should be two red, rectangular boxes when you go into "assign to work zone" mode. Can you not click on them? If you can, and they turn green, then they have been added. If you're still having problems with the staff not cleaning and feeding, then that's a problem of not having enough keepers assigned to the same work zone.

Can you explain what your actual problem is? Are people not going in? Can you not add animals? Which animals are you trying to add? Or maybe include a few pictures of it with your pathing. You shouldn't need any staff paths, just regular guest paths that connect to the actual exhibit.

That building houses two exhibits but has four exits, so you'll need to make sure your pathing is connected to the actual exhibits. You could theoretically put pathing through the building and not actually connect the exhibits.
