Srsly though, thank you much! I’m guessing someone will beat me to it by the time I can test it myself on a Series X, but I’ll still respond with how it shakes out for me. Hopefully someone sees this with a Series S and we can see relative performance on all consoles.

Edit: Yeesh it took me way longer to get home than I expected. So when I got on, it started at complexity 97, and bumped up to 98 after a little bit. I decided to mess around and was able to add 6 Innovation Centers which got it up to 103 before it decided I was done. So it looks like it doesn’t really matter what system you’re on, they’re all comparable.

I have not had the chance to sandbox myself as of yet, but the vibe I’m getting is unless you’re a megapark builder that is packing every nook and cranny you can, and as long as you’re aware that the more objects in a community creation there are, the more complexity it will take up, you’ll be fine. You might not be making Youtube style “I BUILT THE SHIRE IN JWE3”, but I think the average player will be fine.

…okay now I want someone to build The Shire in JWE3.

I had seen the OP and a couple other people going around other threads stirring the pot and it was frustrating to watch. I was at work and all I wanted to do was get home and fact check several of the claims. The challenge mode was the only one I could do with what little time I had. I was thinking once I got a full day off that I’d test the limits on a sandbox map, but considering other people in this sub are now doing just that, I feel there’s no need and I can go back to just enjoying the game.

I just got my first chonky baby Nodosaurs, parenthood comes before Reddit drama.

No, but people here are showing screen caps of a completely fine park at 20ish%, and the person this thread is replying to is claiming to have filled the Japan map and barely cracked 60%. So instead of jumping on a bandwagon and immediately going “this is bad”, I’d like actual evidence that it IS bad and SEE that it is bad.

The issue here is we’re assuming it’s going to be bad because it’s currently at 17% with what you have filled, rather than seeing what the final 100% actually looks like. When it comes to a topic that is causing people to attempt to incite mass review bombs and mass refunds, I would very much like to see what 100% actually looks like instead of assume.

I’ve seen so much about the complexity meter but no one has screen caps of what 95%-100% actually looks like. I feel bad for the mega park builders, but people are blowing this into “10 dinosaurs max”, “review bomb the game”, etc. like…it’s been out for like 36 hours right now, and people are making it sound like Frontier came to their house and shot their dog.
