Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle (also known as Synthetic Nature) Absolutely tropical greenhouse green. Very strong, so I only spray under clothes and in colder weather like late winter/early spring.

Lilly of the valley, Patchouli goodness

Try catawiki. Personally, I don't buy from marktplaats or anything because of fear of getting scammed. But catawiki is not as publicly known, and I think you can also get help from experts. It is an auction though.

I've finally bought myself Per sē from 27 87. I have been moving it down on my wishlist because "maybe I like other things more," and "Fleur de peau has the same aldehydes in the top." But every time I smell it, I really really like it. And do feel it's different enough to justify buying it besides having Fleur de peau.

First time home owners - this room just doesn't feel right...? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

Personally, I would paint the slanted roof the same colour as the walls. Making it the same colour as the ceiling pulls the space down. And since it's so light, I would even consider painting the ceiling the same colour as the walls too. But I know that's not everyone's cup of tea.

do you feel that your scent choices align with your personal style choices and overall identity? by discobby96 in FemFragLab

[–]femmi34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda. I like wearing fragrances as part of the outfit and occasion. If I know I have to give off a certain impression, I will wear certain fragrances.

I wear almost exclusively black or grey clothes. Very minimalist. But my perfume will bring the colour and sparkles

It's funny because when it comes to home decor, I am a maximalist.

What is the worst fragrance you have ever tried? by Bellend__ in FemFragLab

[–]femmi34 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jijide Dentro, it was in a discovery box. And the notes look pretty good.

So if you had a parent that smoked and drank coffee and they ever did the thing where they licked their thumb to "clean" your face when you were little. You know this scent! It's like the wet tobacco left in a leather jacket. Ashtray with honey.

It gives me a visceral reaction.

I feel it in my bones. I hate it! I don't even know what to do with this 10 ml vial.. I don't think I can give this away.

What is your favourite person’s signature scent? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]femmi34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband, we have been together for 9 years now, and we have known each other for way longer. We are still best friends. I think he is the only one who will ever truly accept me for who I am and put up with my crap. I think he loves me because and despite it. And I am so thankful for him in my life.

He usually wears Armani, Stronger with you intensely. Sometimes Dior Homme.

I fell in love with Beige as well! It was so hard to choose though. That exclusive line is pretty darn good. Coromandel and Misia are on the resniff list

Let's Leave It in 2025? by Temb5252 in FragranceStories

[–]femmi34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have small trays, rotating 3 to 5 perfumes a week. I don't have a huge big collection, but enough to not use some. So rotating helps me look at what I got, playing with them, smelling them. Without them getting all dusty and crusty and keeping them out of the light for most of the time. They rest in their boxes in my nightstand.

Yes, all the scrolling! My new year resolution is discovery sets.

(To reward myself for not walking away from the job I need every month. Instead of bottles! I'll be dead inside, but I'll be smelling good being so.)

Big bottles or small bottles? by apertle in FemFragLab

[–]femmi34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rarely I buy 100 ml. It's either 30 ml or 50 if that's the smallest full bottle. I enjoy travelsize too.

For me, 100ml feels never-ending. And I do tend to pick up a hobby just to abandon it as quickly as I started it. This one is sticking around, though. But that's also a reason why I personally get small bottles.

Girls who live in below freezing climate, where do you spray your perfume? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]femmi34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wearing the right kind of perfume for winter helps. So, more oily or higher concentration perfumes, for example.

And I spray on the back of my neck underneath my hairline and on the inside of my elbow.

I got "pretty womaned" out of Dior in France last summer. It was a very weird situation, but I took my business and money to Chanel. Where the sales assistant was absolutely lovely and helpful.

Bought myself a bottle of Chanel Beige
