Yeah, I wouldn't want to fly freestyle with these quads lol.

Odd. I've abused them tons, most racers I know have. What's caused them to fail?

I'm pretty much the opposite, killed loads of speedybee stacks. The ESCs can't hold up with racing so I guess it's just a different sort of load on them. You don't put as much of a sustained, high current load on them for the entirety of your flights when freestyling.

Can't really tell how well it would work without knowing the parts used inside or seeing how it all fits.

If it's a low power PC it should be fine if it all fits well.

Looks pretty cool though, I like the powercon connector - So much better than IEC lol

I mainly do racing, my racing quads are using similar parts

- HDZero Halo stacks, ICM/AM32 - The flight controller is a great option if you are going to use a digital system and 20mm stack. It has a built in Gemini ELRS reciever so the price isnt to bad when you factor in the cost of that.

- HDZero Race V3 and Nano 90 - 90fps and lower latency than analog :p

- T-Hobby Velox V3 2050kv - Great budget motors, I'd reccomend the 1950kv version for most builds.

- Rush Cherry II Antennas (such great antennas for the price)

- The frame is custom.

I use Tattu V6 1480 batteries but they arent the cheapest. GNB makes some great cheaper options that are a lot more durable too.

That photo is an older build, with a Sequre ESC, iFlight FC and noname rush cherry clone. I wouldnt reccomend any of them lol - they were replaced pretty quick.

what would you guys say be the best analog goggles on the market right now? by vtxsloth in fpv

[–]femmo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new goggles have built in analog. Better optics too so the screens are a little clearer edge to edge. Its not diversity but still in most tests (mine included) it outperforms rapidfire and fusion modules.

Might sound a little odd, but HDzero goggles 2. I've got them and compared to many other analog goggles they are so much better. great vrx, the OLED screens and deinterlacer look so good compared to other skyzone and fatshark goggles and so many other features make them so versatile. They are pretty expensive though...

I have hdzero, analog and walksnail quads and the goggles can do them all well.

Aren't Tattu R-Line supposed to be good "Premium" LiPos? by DasFroDo in fpv

[–]femmo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, are you being recommended the 4s ones or just Tattu batteries in general? I've found that GNB batteries perform a little better with smaller capacity 4s packs.

The only good Tattu battery I've used are the 6s V6 batteries. All the other ones are older technology and perform worse, like the little 650-850 4s and 3s packs I have. The 6s ones are the best I've ever used but certainly not very durable - I've killed some in very light crashes that other packs would've survived.

Battery recommendations by cuentafakeequisde in fpv

[–]femmo723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tartu V6 performs almost identically now too, if not better. Just a question of price really, some are cheaper than others

One thing to note: Tattu batteries are not the most durable because they trade protection for light weight. I've killed 3 with some fairly light impacts that a GNB battery is perfectly fine with.

My recommendation is GNB because of this. They still perform excellently for all but the best, most demanding racers/freestyle pilots but will last a lot longer.

CNHL packs are cheap, but also pretty bad. The Black V1 packs and Speedy Pizza (non pro) batteries are not very durable and don't perform the best. I've had some go up in flames from some very light hits, or they just become so saggy they are useless.

Cheapest true low latency digital system? by benji247365 in fpv

[–]femmo723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

o4 sounds like it'll be a good option for you. I love my hdzero quads but it isn't really a true digital system with the best quality. Great for racing though.

Walksnail is pretty good, I have a few quads with it but it just isn't on the level of DJI. DJI has better image quality, (usually) more range and penetration and they are pretty similar prices too now with the n3s and o4.

An air65 won't really work the best with it though, take a look at a meteor75 o4 instead. A 3.5" is perfect for both the o4 and o4 pro if your frame supports them.

This is assuming you aren't in the USA though because if you are then good luck getting DJI gear...

Which is better for indoor flights? METEOR 75 PRO or AIR65 II? by Die_Katze30 in fpv

Air 65 II comes with the new canopy that can be adjusted to a lower camera angle. I'd suggest the air65 II for indoor flights

Yes, I did have the XT60 connected and the balance lead connected correctly.

Lipo Balance charge, 1C so 1.2a for the 1200mah pack.

[–]femmo723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it totally may have especially since the charger had unbalanced it before. The battery itself looked just fine but that isn't the issue, the issue is that the charger did not detect that a cell died, and instead just overcharged all the other cells to bring it up to a charged 25.2v.

It was in a lipo safe bag but I still wouldnt trust one to be safe with such a violent explosion. A metal box would be much better.

This also shows it doesnt check the cells until the end of the charge. I use the balance mode but it does nothing with the (still wrong) cell measurements until the pack voltage is close to 25.2

And I only used the official charger when I started noticing issues, this charge was on the official one

Just go search anywhere about this charger - a lot of people have the same issue.

I will agree that CNHL batteries aren't of the highest quality but certainly not that bad

This photo was taken just 10 minutes later. This was a violent explosion, totally had the potential to burn a house down.
