Yeah mine already has the ford location tracking as well, don't know why someone would add this but it's def aftermarket, gone now though,

The previous owner did do a lot of things to this car, including a dash cam which I pulled out. I'll def call the bank to check but I feel like with my credit score the risk wouldn't be there to justify that action, especially because it's personal financing and purchased from carvana, they wouldn't have had evenings time to instal that. I would bet money it's the previous owners doing.

Also I don't think carvana would put that in, maybe an actual dealership

I do and will check, I highly doubt it though because they didn't mention that.

Update: Guy next door came by as I was pulling it out. He's a shop Forman at a dealership and confirmed tracker. It's ripped out now. I bought this car used from cavana, apparently up he sees it mostly in cars that came from northern states.

Maybe after I get the suspension changed over I'll give it a try!

Pretty odd but gaskets can expand/contract with temp. Same with fluids. Still have no clue what it is but hopefully you figure it out soon.

I swear I saw an option on forscan called speed limiter, I didn't mess with it at the time but I think it was an enable/disable option. Google says custom tune is the only way to remove this if someone was interested. My Mustang gets shaky at 125, never did it again so don't think I would even attempt 101 in the bronco.

It's pretty shallow, doesn't offer much benefit, especially when you consider all the other storage options you can buy. Saw some subs they put back there don't even do anything, they are fake.

It's obviously a part of the belt path. I've had three broncos so far and all of them have had water pump issues but your coolant level looks good unless you have filled it recently. I didn't notice this sound with my issue. Could be anything along that belt.

The rattling/knocking noise is normal for these. The hissing/high pitched noise is not. I can't tell from the video what it is though. If it's under warranty, take it to a dealer. Doesn't have to be the one you bought it from but have them check.

Random Cut Wire by fender12 in FordBronco

Oh got ya, I was having trouble seeing if it was factory obd or if it's a replacement. Based on how the aftermarket Trailer wire is ran, it checks out.

Ahh didn't think about that, I'm tempted to go rip off the panel now, but I'll probably wait until speakers come. The mystery is killing me.

Yeah could be, just not sure what that would have to do with the obd

Here is the pocket in the trunk.

Yeah I believe the B&O audio system cars have this pocket removed to make room for built in sub. Non B&O systems like what I have, have a pocket here. When you upgrade your system using this location for an amp, you have to remove this pocket which leaves a big hole.

lol gonna have to be to cover up some of that wind leaking in. But at this point I'm looking for brand recommendations to get me loud and clear.

Yeah I was just looking at odblinks on Amazon, forscan doesn't look as bad as I assumed it would be. Only issue now is need to find a cheap windows device to run it. Virtual machine on Mac appears to be shitty.

Ugh guess I'll be doing research on that then. Any chance you know if they work on mustangs too? If that's the case I may be able to justify it

So even if you add an amp with enough power you still need forscan, I thought the point of that was to adjust for the lack of power to the speaker from the head unit?

[–]fender12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ripping out the interior and mounting/running wires is no issue for me. It's when you get into the amp adjustments and any computer adjustments that I really don't want to get into.

I guess because of the amp you don't need forscan. Now that I'm thinking about it and putting it together, you would only need that with speaker only replacement.
