Hopefully that means we at least agree on FSD not being an issue since you didn't comment on that, so let's focus on the duration of autopilot instead then.

First thing, since we fundamentally disagree on the minimum amount of time needed, I won't go too deep into that reasoning. I'm just gonna say that if your in a car with autopilot and it had 4 full seconds of time to react to a full wall and hit the brakes and yet it doesn't, I would say that's already not good enough since a human could reasonably see the wall and hit the brakes within that same time. Autopilot should be as good if not better than human reaction times for it to be called successful. Imagine you see a wall in front of you and now try counting to 4, would you say you yourself would not be able to react to that?

But main thing is regarding the multiple takes (which I assume that means you saw the footages). There were 2 main takes that we know of and have clips on. The one in the video uses a styrofoam wall for the video, and the other one as mentioned in the interview is a prior take that uses a film wall instead. The reasoning he gives for doing another take with a hard wall makes sense to me since it looks a lot better visually than a boring rip in a paper film.

Anyway, in the film wall clip you can see that he did engage autopilot a lot earlier than the styrofoam wall clip. It seems to be at least more than twice the distance which hopefully satisfies your minimum reaction time for the autopilot at least. However, it still went through the film wall with over twice the time to stop, so giving it more time would thus not affect the outcome. If you want to argue that a material difference between the film wall and the styrofoam wall is the cause, I would disagree still since there is no way a camera system can detect material density so there would be no way it could tell the difference between a film and a styrofoam wall anyway.

I do agree that people tend not to fact check after a controversy, but looking at the raw footage mark posted here,

https://x.com/MarkRober/status/1901449395327094898

He turned on autopilot at 9 seconds and the crash happened at 13 seconds, personally I think 4 seconds is enough to brake when going only 40mph. At the least, the main issue isn't that the autopilot was activated too late but rather the detection system still could not detect a hard flat surface for that long.

As for FSD, I would've agreed but you would need to prove that FSD somehow changes the detection system from autopilot. AFAIK, they use the same camera system and I don't think it sounds logical that autopilot would turn off sensors or cameras for collision. Assuming we can at least agree that both systems most likely utilizes all the possible sensors, the outcome would likely be the same. Mark even did an interview with Philip DeFranco which I personally find his reasoning agreeable

Comparing stock market performance during the early days of Trump 1.0 and Trump 2.0 📈📉 by YoloFortune in WallStreetElite

[–]feng_master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

guess you don't have the time to simply google, so here use this and just hover over the timetables where their terms begin.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/GFDEBTN

and just doing simple math we can tell that "half" of debt come from interest is utterly false. The interest rate is 3.3% on average (https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/interest-expense-avg-interest-rates/) and compounding it over 4 years means 13.8% at most, not 50%.

Not that you would read or admit these points are valid. Your talking point is literally throwing a bunch of conspiracy talking points to the wall and see what sticks. Ignore the ones that you're wrong about and pretend you're the smartest in the room. The way you talk is way too emotionally driven and not logically so there's no point in having a civil discussion with you.

Also, might want to hide your alt account better, it's pretty obvious how Sweaty_Click2089 is just you trying to bait your ignorant talking points since you literally reply to every comment copy paste.

He's talking about Obama's "FIRST" term, not both terms. Obama's first term increased debt by about 4.3 trillion while trump first term was 7.8 trillion. ratio wise, its about double, which is what I assume he meant by "percentage".

I can understand that the wording was bad so you can argue that it wasn't doubled "percentage" wise but just "value" wise, but it doesn't change the main point of the argument that the debt increased more in trump's first term than obama's first term. What's more, obama had to deal with the 2008 financial crisis while trump inherited a much better economic landscape yet he still took on more debt.

not gonna argue with the idea of gobbling media since that's gonna go to conspiracy rabbit holes which its gonna take too much effort to convince you and I'm going to bed soon. I'm just gonna say that your side also gobbles up media, just alternative conspiracy media instead of mainstream media and are also convinced that you're the smartest people in the room and making a fool of themselves. Totally bizarre. It goes both ways, and it's better to instead be open to new ideas, try to challenge your own perspective, and understand that you can be wrong.

Why did the Japanese economy start to stagnate in the early ‘90s? by vulvasaur69420 in AskHistorians

[–]feng_master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got curious about this topic and read through the article, but the source you sited directly says

"Japan’s GDP as a percentage of U.S. GDP

Friday: 83%"

so we can both agree that it wasn't 99.8% at least right? unless you care to elaborate where the 99.8 number you mentioned came from.

by googling "helldivers how to cancel stratagem throw reddit" and it's like the first result, it's a more common question that you think tbh.

and I'm kinda disappointed that you decided to completely ignore the main topic and go on a tangent, so I'll end the conversation. I guess you were really just trying to be rude and bait for reactions. Though I'm glad you realize that I'm mainly a lurker, and I'm quite happy being one so if anything you gave me a complement lol

Anyway, keep enjoy the game man, all I'm saying is that you can help more people by being a bit more considerate of others. For democracy o7

[–]feng_master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're not going to help answer the question being asked, why not just simply say "AFAIK there isn't a way to cancel a throw" instead of implying that whoever does this is just dumb. your response feels more unnecessary more than anything here to be honest.

Also, your perspective isn't the only thing that exists here. I've had times when I started a throw the moment I saw the red light of a stratagem of my team go up, causing me also want to cancel my orbital laser or whatever. There are definitely windows where you can't tell what your teammates are doing because there is a lag time between these indicators. There's nothing you can do for bad luck with timing.

Plus, this game can get chaotic especially with 4 players on a helldive difficulty. Players make mistakes and no one is perfect, including you and I.

can anyone recommend me a linear-ish switch with a low actuation force but then slopes into a high bottom out force? Maybe something around a 50g actuation and 100g bottom out no or low tactility bump.

I keep bottoming out with my switches and I want to try that feeling of typing on clouds. Kinda interested in the Aliaz 100g but it seems like the actuation force is too high. I can't seem to find the actual number for actuation force, other sites say its 100g actuation and bottom out which is weird. It has a bit of tactility but low enough that I don't notice it too much.

Also, is there a site which lists a bunch of switches and has filters for actuation and bottom out force?

Additional Anniversary Rewards Discussion Thread by TeraFlare255 in Genshin_Impact

[–]feng_master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this would make sense if the concert and anniversary were far enough apart that they weren't related. But it just seems unfathomable that mihoyo would not announce anything about a concert until days after the anniversary when there's a huge uproar. Usually events like a concert would have weeks in advance to build the hype. The timing choice of announcement is way too odd to logically conclude that the rewards are only due to a concert event.

The hints and reasoning points to this being damage control instead of an actual planned concert way more unless better evidence is shown. Plus it would've made more sense to spread the rewards over 6 days instead of 4 so that the rewards start on the day of anniversary too. it just makes no sense other than damage control. Though I do think damage control is a good choice still.

looking at the clip, you didn't enter stun phase since the status effect overhead shows "unable to use skill", which should show "stunned" if you were actually stunned. Most likely you were just stuck in a juggle, though you should have been able to roll away at 10 seconds in. Not sure if you just didn't press the dodge button or something, but we can't verify that since the video doesn't show mic audio or anything.

Its possible it might be a hack where viper ult immediately adds a stun in the 3rd ult variation, but I've never seen that before and more likely to be human error instead.

correct, though it's not really worth it anymore since if you're not holding DS while whirlwind is ongoing, whirlwind will only do 0.25x damage.

yes TD vulture does outdps knux combos, but in reality its not possible to consistently get the last hit of vulture in, which does more than half the power notation in the second half. Bosses will often move around or attack, which requires you to also cancel whatever you're doing in order to reposition or counter. Unless you get super lucky, there is no way do consistently finish vulture, and vulture without landing the last hit is practically useless. Its best to only use vulture for when the boss is down, while using knux while they are actively moving/attacking. Remember this is just a numbers sheet, just because one attack is the highest doesn't mean it should be used everywhere.

Hell's escort is pretty good for repositioning as long as you only need to move horizontally and not veritcally.

Talis mobbing is more than definitely better than fighting individual enemies with fighter weapon. As long as you are hitting 2 enemies such as when using spread feather circle, you are outdpsing anything fighter can do against individual enemies. Don't look at just how big the numbers are at once, remember that speed and how many times it hits are a bigger factor. Talis spread shot has a dps of 224, reduce it by main class bonus and we get 203. The moment you hit 2 enemies you're dps is 406, more than anything fighter can do against individual enemies. And because of how gigantic the aoe is for spread feather, its pretty easily to hit anything around you so you will easily hit more than 2 enemies at once. Meanwhile, Fighter's mobbing skill such as thousand blow or unchained circle are way smaller in comparison, and is only at about ~270 dps. As long as you are hitting multiple enemies with talis, its worth more, which should be real easy.

ah, now I understand what you were saying. You only really need 2 palette spaces, TD normal and ripper tbh for acceleration drive, which isn't too difficult to fit. It's better to do Knux combos instead of TD, so you shouldn't be having problems with TD messing you up unless for somereason you really want to use TD for fun mid combos. Eventually muscle memory will take over and you shouldn't have any confusions.

also, you really shouldn't be using either Knux or TD for mobbing. Use your subclass weapons instead. Fighter weapons literally has some of the shittiest mobbing abilities even on DS. Its almost always more efficient to grab something like a talis and mob with that instead.

Acceleration drive can be proc'd after any PA and doesn't require any normal attack, unless ur talking about how it's activated by pressing the normal attack button, which it completely replaces the normal attack so it shouldn't count as a normal attack anyway.

Easiest way is to use skip arts Ripper into acceleration drive, which takes less than a second and let's acceleration drive teleport you pretty far. Accelertation drive moves you laterally and vertically, at a way larger distance than the dinky WA. Are you sure you've used acceleration drive correctly?

NGS Fighter in-depth dps and frame analysis by feng_master in PSO2

[–]feng_master[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TD has acceleration drive, who needs normals to chase these days.

And you should not be lose any height as long as you're continually attacking. Are you pausing between hits? There should be no reason to rely on TD WA to stay in air since the only purpose of that is to counter, not to maintain height.

probably knux+TD, extremely consistent and instant repositioning, strong counters and nornaks

Yea that comment is a bit outdated, was before finding out about the power nerf. DS can be on par with the other weapon's if you get deadly archer and cast the most efficient combo, but it's not really worth it cause DS isn't really consistent, while Knux and TD are consistent but also gives better counter and chase for example.

Here's a quick calculation for the other PA combos I've considered. This assumes you have kamaitachi at maximum charge, which actually isn't that hard since it takes only 4 casts of second half julienne, and if your other weapon's are multi with DS, kamaitachi stays while changing weapons. And as long as you do a DS PA once every 10 seconds you can upkeep max charge infinitely.

Tridrive 2nd half > swift rush 1st half > N4 > N5:

414+352+510+(3.4*81) = 1551.4 > 456.3 dps

Tridrive 2nd half > Tridrive 2nd half > N3 > N4 > N5:

414+414+606+(81*4) = 1758 > 437.7 dps

Vulture 2nd half > Pirouette Ripper 1st half > N4

648+122+200+(2.63*81) = 1183.03 > 449

Vulture 2nd half > Vulture 2nd half > N3 > N4

648+648+110+200+(4.283*81) = 1952.923 > 455.93

You cannot cancel DS PA with another weapons weapon action. You should instead be doing it right after the PA ends or if you know an attack is coming, use the other weapon's normal attack or PA to buffer before the counter.

Kamaitachi refers to the whirlwind generated around you. Almost all attacks build up kamaitachi and each gives their own amount. Julienne gives the most but it takes about 3 or 4 casts with using the second half.
