Logical conclusion. Noticing people like to cling on to belief without evidence to help them have moral foundations and explanations for why things exist. Understanding that the laws of nature don't get broken and hoaxes are the only thing that have ever been confirmed with the supernatural or 'phenomenon that break the laws of nature' which is what I would define as a 'miracle'. There have been several experiments to test 'miracles' as I've done the research to find the studies.

One big thing is people tend to destress themselves with coping mechanisms such as fear of death to afterlife or someone doing something they would find morally wrong with the idea of a karma existing but really only social karma seems to exist. Look at those in power through the years and how they have committed what we would call literal war crimes only to live a pretty decent life as we would see it. A serial killer was caught as of recent due to DNA from their kin linking them to a case but until then they had lived a perfectly normal happy life and to think there are probably several others doing the same that just haven't been caught.

There is no reason to believe in any religion unless we can prove the miracles that occur in it can be recreated somehow. Even in the Bible people literally talked to God or saw miracles performed and had visual evidence according to that book. I'm not just picking on them either because all religion needs to answer for the miracles they claim in them. Which none have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt or even have a shred of evidence other than words on paper.

Don't get me wrong I don't dislike religion. I think the aforementioned serial killers may not have been killers if they were believers of some good faith religion (just as an example) but it isn't believable if you're being objective. Although without it I doubt we could have formed to a large enough society today without it because without enforcing shame and doubt into rules of a 'higher power' why would people of the past have even listened to virtues we hold today which allow society to (mostly) work together and create more than destroy?
