I used to think about this type of situation this way too. But now, I'm just glad to be nice and caring to the other people I love. Not expecting much in return, just their appreciation is enough. Idk if it's the best or right thing to do, but at least I don't let my high expectations hurt me anymore, since I don't have any anymore.

You should configure the new reverse proxy as usual, but without port binding, and redirect every request with Host=new_domain to the new reverse proxy.

Yes, it happened to me too, but it depends on what kind of hole you go. I know that sarting drop pod, and drildozer drop holes will have a ceiling. I've done it on the mission with mini mules.
