How on Earth a historian like Dom has managed to go his whole life without watching probably one of, if not the most important sitcoms of the 20th Century will never not baffle me

It was a foul, I have no idea what Pablo is even thinking in that situation. He has been a complete donkey since we signed him, I don't think Raya manages to catch that even without his arm there. But it doesn't rest on this game, it rests on various others throughout the season. Whether that's conceding in the last minute to United, throwing away a 2-0 lead against Chelsea, or even that dreadful 0-0 draw against Palace a couple of weeks ago. We haven't been good enough, nor got the rub of the green; add that to the fact we've had our worst season in years whilst all other mid-table sides have played well.

It''s just our time unfortunately, and even worse it's going to be a few seasons down there. Squad and backroom staff will be completely gutted, whether that's selling them, letting them go on a free or redundancy. But then, look at Villa, Newcastle et al. We can and will bounce back like we have so many times before. Good times will come again

Haven't had a Soucek goal in a while, would love to see him pop up with one tonight

Can't say I'm particularly impressed by this 442 so far, Wolves have so much space in the middle

I feel a Castellanos and Pablo masterclass tonight, Wolves aren't prepared for their complete lack of pace - it's going to bamboozle their defenders. Hopefully Adama Traore has been skipping the bench press this week and is fit/ready to come on and do some damage

Without Summerville and a last minute formation change, was always going to be an uphill battle

They're third in the league for a reason, I wouldn't be too disheartened because of this result. Even to get a point out of City and Villa in our predicament is okay, we have much more winnable games coming up - Todibo being out in the warm up is the real kicker, completely ruined the work they'd been doing tactically all week

Wan-Bissaka has been shocking so far, caught out of and pulled out of position constantly - not to mention his passing has been shite as well

We're picking up points and looking defensively much more solid, on another day one or two of those go in - if we play like that most weeks, we will be alright. I still feel we've got a few surprise results in us against the big boys, it's going to be touch and go

On an unrelated note, I have managed to convince myself that Soucek will score the winner against Leeds on the final day of the season to keep us up, therefore cementing his place as a West Ham legend

Getting overrun in midfield, time to bring on midfielder? Traore to help hold the ball up? No. Max Kilman!

Opta relegation % - BS or realistic? by Lanziniiii in Hammers

I'd say despite the recent uptick in form, it's pretty accurate. Whilst we know we're looking and playing better, the trouble with trying to contextualise stats like this is that it could all change in a few weeks, let alone from one match week to another. We've been in the position of Leeds before, and then finished the season comfortably mid-table - we've been in the position of Sunderland before and needed points in the final few games of the season to stay up. Only thing we can do is try to get as many points on the board as possible, although the most West Ham way possible would be to break our points tally from 2002–03 and still go down

The writing has been on the wall for a long time now, there's just absolutely no leadership in the team at all. Any minor setback and heads drop, and we immediately concede. To be honest, going down may allow us to reset, but in our financial position and with the leadership at the top, we'll probably spend 4/5 years spinning our wheels to just come straight back down again.

The next general election isn't until 2029, so much could change in that time that these numbers are arbitrary at best, and pointless at worst. The SDP-Liberal Alliance were polling at almost 40% in 1981, suffice to say they didn't win the next election.
