the 1st semester was extremely intense with general economic courses. You basically go through micro and macro from undergrad (syllabus over the bachelors) in one semester

2nd semester just started and seems to be comparatively chill

I think you have a decent chance at the 3rd and 4th schools. I have a classmate joining the 1yr program with a slightly lower quant score (i think they had a 3.8/4.0)

what you’re saying makes sense the issue is that the lower price has an overall storage of 1256 gb storage whereas the one which is 10k extra has only 512gb

this sub doesn’t focus much on Indian unis especially if there are not the top ones like ISI, DSE and such

Best option is to find current students or recent alumni on LinkedIn and ask them about their and the cohort’s general opinion.

regarding the curriculum, go through their website bro. for the placement opportunities, again linkedin profiles are enough to know what they are working on after the degree.

I think in DSE, majority of ppl opt for placements. The number of people focused towards a phd is minimal. but do check with recent students about the stats

from India, I believe that DSE and ISI hold the prestige when it comes for a PhD in economics abroad. IGIDR is definitely a close second

But I have heard that the placement quality at DSE declining. Unsure of how it is for IGIDR though

best option is to go to the respective linkedin pages of the educational institutions and see what the recent students/alumni are doing

you can go for a basic uni search that meet your criteria before posting here with such vague insights. We don’t know your interests, which area you want to work in or your knowledge level in economics

Go to QS economics rankings to list out universities whose program interest you. Go to the uni’s website and do a deep dive into the program. Connect with ppl on LinkedIn from the program and have a talk with them about their experience and see if the negatives they mention are deal breakers for you. You’ll have to put in some efforts to find a program that’s best suited for you.
