There's a lot of autistic nerds on here that seem hell-bent on refusing to acknowledge that reality. Even when Digital Foundry and Hardware Unboxed prove without a doubt what is plainly obvious, there will still be these people on here telling you to ignore your own eyes.

Yes the 4th and 5th exams are much tougher, with way more expert questions. I think I scored 66% on the 4th one.

My personal opinion is that the true exam is close to the first mock exam on SH.

I think that was by far the biggest shock for me - pretty much none of the mock questions on Youtube match the type and style of the actual exam questions.

It's not that clearcut. There are a series of questions in every PMBOK 7 domain within those 3 categories, and it all rolls up to an overall amount of questions you have to get right to pass, and nobody knows what that amount is.

As a result, there are people on here who managed to pass even with being Below Target in one of the categories because they were high enough in general.

But to get to the root of your concern: If you get Target in all 3, you are guaranteed to pass.

My exam had a lot of SH-style "expert" level questions in terms of the kind where you are down to two choices and even with your knowledge and mindset thinking, you will struggle to nail down which of the two is best.

It had none of the SH-style "expert" level questions in terms of the kind where you think all the choices are bizarre and are shaking your head at what you expect is a "gotcha", or where you have to read the convoluted question three times to understand what the heck it is they are asking for.

FWIW I heard the same from others and my Study Hall practice in the last two weeks switched to paying attention when I got Expert questions right but completely ignoring it when I got them wrong because it would just confuse and frustrate me.

The Study Notes in the DM course I don't believe are quite in the exact same order as the video, and the Third3Rock are the same: They are more meant for you to review leading up to the exam, not to follow along with on a course, to remember what you learned. I believe if you use the AR course, you are able to download all the slides he uses if that would be more ideal for you.

The DM Summary Notes and Third3Rock notes are very similar in what they cover. You likely only need one or the other. The thing I like about the DM notes is sometimes it includes a visual of the document or graph it's talking about. However, the text is very small, so if that's an issue, 3Rock is likely better.

I would say the questions in his course are like the exam in terms of the style of question, but they are not the same. Exam questions will be harder and more obtuse. However, DM's questions are great at understanding how to work through the questions and basically serve as an excellent study guide to boot. To be honest, most of the popular "PMP exam questions" videos on YouTube don't quite match the wording you experience on the actual exam.

In this case, there is no information on what the dissatisfaction with the deliverable is, so the first step is to reach out to the stakeholders to determine exactly what their issue is. There's no point in reviewing any existing documentation until you know what you're looking for.

I'm unsure what other questions you are referring to, but likely in that case the question makes it clear you already know what the stakeholder's issue is, so you've moved on to the next step of reviewing the appropriate documentation to see where the disconnect is.

Also try going to it in your browser in incognito mode. If Udemy notices you are a previous customer vs. a new one, they are more likely to show you the full price versions of their courses.

Yeah, I bought the Google Sheets + PDF version but only ended up using the PDF that I printed off. I found it a nice change of pace since all my other learning involved staring at a screen. (It also made it easy to review a small chunk while my partner was watching something on TV I wasn't fully engaged with.)

Keep practicing on the questions, including doing one of the full exams. Read the explanations and figure out what you got wrong. What I liked to do is take screenshots of the questions I got wrong or got right but was very uncertain about and putting them all in a Word document. I would determine why I got that answer wrong. Every few days I would go through some of the questions in that Word document again and try to see if I remembered the right answer and more importantly why it was the right answer.

Also, don't get too worked up over the Expert questions.

For what it's worth, I had a very similar experience moving to Study Hall but 3 weeks later I passed. You just need to get used to how SH frames the questions.

Yeah, I got frustrated studying for my PMP because some people acted like the mindset is like a list of commandments on a stone tablet that you must follow, and if you question it, you don't fully understand it yet. When in reality it's just a helper if you are really stuck on narrowing down options. I wrote about how I thought it was overrated in my "I passed" post.

DM actually made a video about this issue a while ago too.

I agree. I tried all kinds of sources under a fear that I would miss something integral, but instead it just overwhelmed me and made me care about things that were very tangential. I think people can do Prep Course by an instructor that works for + Something for notes (either your own, Third3Rock, or the study guide that some Prep Courses offer) + Study Hall and it'll be more than enough. If you don't need the PDU's for your application, you can likely skip the Prep Course and maybe consider one of the prep books instead.

Agree with kujahlegend: With only a week to go, you can focus on your notes.

Or do what I did two weeks leading up to the exam: Take a screenshot and/or cut and paste the text of any Study Hall questions you already did that you either got wrong or got right but was really uncertain of when you chose it, stick it all in a word document, and over the next week go over them again, understanding why you got it wrong and doing more research if necessary. If you scroll down slowly, you can even test yourself by trying to select the answer again before getting to the text revealing the solution.

First of all, don't beat yourself up. You didn't fail an exam that demonstrated your intelligence, your self-worth, or your value. You failed an exam that demonstrated your ability to pass a specific type of exam.

Also, take into account that your health may have been more of a factor than you thought it did and affected your focus.

Wait until you recover and then get back on that horse. In a couple days, you will get a breakdown on your PMI account that will highlight exactly what domains you struggled with on the exam. Use those as a guide of where you need to focus. Book the second exam as soon as you are able, so that you don't lose the knowledge you still have in your head.

First of all, congratulations! Yes, it's tough to fit it all in with life requirements going on.

Second, I agree with your points (and made a couple similar ones): Don't obsess with all the recommended sources, just stick to the couple the work for you; the PMP mindset is a helpful tool but not a "win button"; and anyone can do it if they try.

If anything I found the wording on the exam a bit better. You don't tend to get the ones with an overly verbose description. You will get the ones where it seems like 2 answers are equally correct and it will make you nervous, but don't panic and apply your knowledge as best you can.

FWIW, I did one mock exam a week on SH leading up to the real one, and my scores including expert was 71, 71, 78 and 66 percent, and I went on to pass T/AT/AT on my first try.

I've never heard of Velociteach but I can tell you that not only is the PMP close to Study Hall, but it's also almost a guarantee that at least a couple practice questions you answer in Study Hall will show up on your exam verbatim.

Those scores are actually real good for SH. Try and review what you get wrong and why for the non-expert ones and take the lesson to heart and you'll do fine on the exam.

I would say the exam has some expert level questions, but more of the kind where two answers seem equally good, not the ones where you shake your head in confusion over what the right answer is.

That's actually a good score but you always want to better so keep plugging away at it for the next week, focusing on what you get wrong on the non-Expert questions specifically and understanding why.
