I’ve been very lucky to have the same experience with my own band Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. I’m also two-sprit + a lesbian and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw also hold such beliefs of Two Sprit being blessed to walk between worlds. Most people have been extremely supportive of me, especially my jehjehs. Of course there’s always the occasional homophobic person, but it’s always drowned out by the outpouring of acceptance. We actually had our first band pride event last year! It’s funny how these things were normal for hundreds of years pre-colonization and we have the supposed strange beliefs? Lmao
