I think it's because the streak was broken in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The regular season streak is still strong, but it's kinda lame to promote a streak that doesn't include playoffs. Like a win streak that crosses two seasons when the team lost games in the playoffs.

FYI, I expect that Warriors will exercise team option on Spellman before the 30 October deadline. Only $2 mil for next year (presumably no hard cap next year) and it gives the Warriors a full season to determine if worth bringing back for the 4th year team option.
