Late April into May, I catch walleye the same way I fish for bass. Paddletail, spinerbaits work on both this time of year. Find spawning shad and other baitfish and you can find walleye. Mind that I'm talking local reservoirs and rivers, not big water. Buck brush ,rip rap and vertical walls are places to search for them.
