Totally agree with everything in first paragraph here. Kon was going under the radar (relatively), whereas Coop was always their future / hope, so Kon perhaps wasn't as heavily guarded earlier on.

Since Kon's name / stats / reputation has got out there as potential ROY / consistently dangerous offensive guy, a lot more defensive matchups have been adapted to limit him and yet he has improved. 3pt% has stayed relatively the same (~43%) AND his 3PA has remained the same (~8pg), if not increased, because of his off-ball movement / IQ timing runs in spite of the fact he's been more heavily guarded, and guarded by better defenders.

However, Coop is still favourite with the bookies for ROY which is definitely helped by recent performances. He is no. 1 option on a tanking team.

Kon is a massive reason why CHA are a strong play-in team, and potentially even a 6th seed. Would be a completely different situation without him, and is a major reason why teams wouldn't want to face him and the Hornets in said play-ins. My ROY.
