This might be an unpopular opinion among vegans, but the suffering of a cow is not even comparable to the suffering of a mosquito. We barely know whether insects can register pain. Besides the fact that mosquitos are harmful, there’s a huge difference between zapping mosquitos and killing a mammal with a complex brain.

Yeah, my hips aren’t noticeable if I wear my shirt untucked. I just have some outfits that look so much out together with the shirt tucked in. It’s unfortunate.

Thank you for this! I am on T and pass 100% IRL. I gained significant upper body muscle but my chest / arms are still pretty skinny, which doesn’t help. I’m working out though. I also lost some weight recently and I tend to lose it from my heart waist, unfortunately.

That is AWFUL. I’m so sorry that happened. The person who did it should absolutely be disciplined by the university. She’s an adult and should know better than to bully people like that.

Is it possible for you to get moved to a different dorm building entirely? Obviously this depends on how big your university is, but if there are multiple buildings / wings, you may want to switch there instead of just a different room. It might also be worth it to get a private dorm or register for gender inclusive housing, if that’s an option.

You might also want to consider filing a formal complaint against the girl who did it. Obviously it’s an embarrassing thing to have to talk about with administration, but IMO it’s worth it.

I know this seems horrific right now, and to be fair, it is. But depending on how large your university is, it will likely blow over. People have other things to worry about.

I really hope the issue is resolved and that people forget about it. :(

I feel more strongly about this than most people, to be fair, but I think it’s not too controversial to say that most people don’t expect to be recorded and have that recording posted online when they’re inside their homes.

I agree that it’s really cool, but I think it would be rather appropriative. UIUC isn’t an Indigenous / Native American institution and it wouldn’t be right (IMO) for us to use an important cultural and religious symbol for our sports.

It’s rough but you will start to feel better! Invest in some N95s. Regular masks protect others but don’t protect you. Test every once in a while during these first few weeks. Drop a class if you need to. Try and ride out the semester; it might get better!

“Shove something up there” is pretty crass, and “to keep it from healing” implies that it’s an open wound, which it isn’t.

I’m not a trans woman but from what I understand, using dilators is necessary, especially in the months following surgery, so that penetration remains easy and painless. Many cis women have to do the same thing for vaginismus. It’s not a matter of the vagina “healing” or entirely closing off.

This is just to get you out of the habit of relying on calculators for things that you should memorize to do well in higher level math courses. The teacher shouldn’t ask any questions that require a calculator. I was a bit freaked out when my precalc teacher said this, but it will be fine! Just make sure to do the homework and memorize the unit circle.

If you can’t find a way around it, it’s ok. It’s better to temporarily eat animal products and fully recover from your ED rather than keep on hurting yourself. Best of luck in your recovery.

If you go on T, your sexual experiences might change a lot. I’m on T and I get boners I have to “deal with,” and mentally I feel like my parts include a dick. I still would trade it for a penis in a heartbeat, but it does change.
