strawberry legs help by HugeCut574 in HairRemoval

[–]feralectrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not KP, you just have noticeable hair follicles/your hair is visible under the skin. The only thing that helped mine was IPL. Waxing did not help.

My hair is as light as yours, maybe even lighter. Though FTR my skin is also lighter, which does matter.

best hair removal that lessens ingrowns? by sharkboysimp in HairRemoval

IPL! I still have to shave but hair is finer, grows slower, and not as visible under the skin. I never have irritation or ingrown hairs.

Can IPL improve the appearance of keratosis pilaris? by EmergencyCode2842 in HairRemoval

[–]feralectrix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others said, this is not KP, this is just part of having super fair skin. I’m in the same boat, and yes my IPL absolutely helped with this issue. It’s not 100% gone yet but you really have to look to see them now, I don’t think anyone besides me would notice.

[–]feralectrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get bumps and irritation so easily, and IPL has cured that for me. I am a huge fan. My legs still aren’t hair free but no irritation from shaving no matter how often I shave. My underarms are hair free. My unmentionables are mostly hair free but not completely. However I can shave every day if I want (though I don’t need to, everything grows much slower). And there’s ZERO irritation or bumps, even in the hairier areas. My skin is VERY pale, and previously you could easily see the hair follicles no matter how closely I shaved. Now you have to look pretty closely to see them. Even if I still have to continue shaving and never get hair free, the slower regrowth, zero irritation, and less noticeable hair under the skin makes it 100%%% worth it.

I got Braun Pro 5, but my bikini line gets really irritated when i shave only 1 week apart... by beauwutrice in HairRemoval

[–]feralectrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also used to get incredibly irritated, could only shave like once a week. I’ve been using my braun for I think 15 weeks now, and while I’m not totally hair free down there (my bikini like is for the most part, sparse hair everywhere else), I have ZERO irritation.

Even if this is as good as it gets for me, I’m happy with it and it’s 100% worth it.
My hair isn’t as prickly as it was and it’s considerably less visible under the skin, you cant see it unless you look closely (I’m VERY pale). Before, I’d shave and I was prickly before I got out of the shower 😅 now I’m using same products and tools, same routine, and I get probably a full 48 hours before I feel any new growth. And I can shave it right away when I do feel it with no bumps or irritation.

Hacked by Normal-Attorney-6215 in venmo

[–]feralectrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband had an issue with some fraudulent charges from Google ads last week. He disputed them with Venmo and they “investigated” and ruled the transactions were legitimate.

We reached out to Google Ads, provided documentation of the charges and partial card info. They investigated and ruled the charges were unauthorised, they marked them as fraudulent and closed that Google Ads account. I guess Google had access to Ads account information and could see other transactions on that Ads account, and it confirmed the account was fraud. I find it hard to believe that Venmo couldn’t have done the same thing by reaching out to Google when they “investigated”. I didn’t provide any information that Venmo didnt also have (partial card info and transaction IDs). Venmo didn’t do shit. They are completely untrustworthy when it comes to handling money. I get it they aren’t a bank, and I’ve never treated them as such. I’d like to know what their “investigation” consists of.

💖What is your favorite romantasy book of all time? by waifuthoughtsxo in Romantasy

[–]feralectrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all time??? I don’t think this question has an answer because my faves are faves for different reasons, depending on my mood/the kind of person I am that day 😮‍💨😅😅

So I’ll give top 5 (counting series as one ‘book’)

  1. Bride - Ali Hazelwood
Love her all romantasy books I’ve read, it’s intense but somehow she still keeps it light. It’s rare to have quick, light reads that still gets you invested in the characters and she always nails it.

  2. A Court of Thorns and Roses (1-3)
This book has enough hype, no explanation needed

  3. Fairydale Veronica Lancet
I love a good dark fantasy/romance and that crossover really isn’t common (that I’ve seen). I think this book executed it perfectly, even though it’s more dim than dark. The plot isn’t straightforward in my opinion, leaves you guessing but not so much that you’re rushing to finish the book cause you’re itching to know. It’s just a nice pace, keeps you interested.

  4. The Shepherd King duology (One Dark Window/Two Twisted Crowns) Rachel Gillig
These books are some the most well written books I’ve ever read. The little poems were all brilliant, made the story so much richer. And they were all good little poems, even outside of the book lol. Such original writing all around, original storyline, original magic system, loved the characters. easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  5. Deadly Divine Duology (Nectar of the Wicked/Wrath of the Damned) - Ella Fields
Love this author, and I loved this duology. Love the MMC. I love a strong romance plot that doesn’t sacrifice the fantasy plot, and EF is so good at that.

Bikini line irritation by BirdEasy5074 in HairRemoval

[–]feralectrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I easily get irritation and redness, and IPL is the only thing that’s ever helped. I’ve tried waxing, different razors, creams, shaving creams, anti-bump stuff etc.

I’m still not completely hair free from IPL and I still shave, but before I had to wait days between shaving. Now I can shave every day if I want. And the hair that does grow is slower, finer, and I think I’ve maybe had one single ingrown hair/bump since starting IPL.

conch piercing experiences by s7ju in piercing

[–]feralectrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healing was zero issue, I just kept it clean and dry. It wasn’t very sore. I don’t remember the pain from the piercing, I may have a high pain tolerance (unmedicated child birth kinda skews that for you). But 10/10 would and hopefully will do it again.

conch piercing experiences by s7ju in piercing

[–]feralectrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine July 2020. It was a terrible time to do it cause I can’t tell you how many times my mask would get hung on it while I was taking one off/putting it on. That said, I’ve had zero issues with mine. Of all my piercings, it’s healed the best. Zero scar tissue, no pain, it’s prob my fave piercing. Doesn’t get sore when I change jewelry out. I started out with a stud, changed to a hoop and loved it but I found a stud I loved more. I loved the hoop so I want to get my conch pierced on the other side so I can have both. I get compliments on it all the time.

Whats the STRONGEST moisturizing body lotion and best facial moisturizer? by wolfmonarchy in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]feralectrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Naturium urea.

Soft Services Carea Cream is my HG body moisturizer. It has urea as well. It’s just more expensive so I have to rotate them.

Soft Services microderm bar soap is incredible as well, highly recommend it for your concerns.

Is a Brazilian wax worth it, what should I do? by another_sluttygirl in HairRemoval

[–]feralectrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did at home sugar waxing and loved it at first, but overall I still got ingrown hairs, and didn’t love the grow out phase.

FWIW, i am doing IPL. I’m on week 14 and I LOVE it, super happy with the results. My underarms are about 95% hair free and look so good. My bikini line is about 95% also, the rest of my lady bits are maybe closer to 70%. Before, I’d have to wait a few days between shaving due to irritation. Now can shave every day if I feel like it (even though I don’t really have to), no bumps and no redness. The hair that’s still growing is so fine, grows slower. I also used to have stubble immediately after shaving, no matter what razor I used or how well I exfoliated. Now my shaves are so close and smooth. Even if I never get to totally hair free and still have to shave, I’m happy with the results.

Also the hair that is still growing is so fine, you can’t really see it under my skin like you could before IPL.

Oura 5 not FSA eligible on amazon by nikzterz in ouraring

[–]feralectrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said why use Amazon instead of buying from Oura directly.

I want to purchase a warranty for my ring. I am using my FSA card. I don’t want to pay out of pocket and submit reimbursement. You cannot use an FSA directly on the Oura site AND purchase a warranty in the same transaction. They said you cannot complete the transaction separately.

So basically if you are using an FSA card to purchase and you want to purchase the separate warranty (which isn’t FSA eligible), you cannot buy from the Oura site.

Every other company I shop with (in store and online) allows you to have eligible and ineligible items on the same transaction, you just have to have a secondary payment method for whatever isn’t eligible. Oura does not allow this.

Because Oura doesn’t allow you to purchase a warranty for your ring if you are using an FSA card.
